We enjoyed four wonderful nights in the Pax Opera. We were warmly greeted by Rachida who was most helpful during our stay. Staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and efficient. On arrival Rachida explained that the lift was out of order. We were given breakfast every morning which we felt was very fair compensation for the inconvenience. The hotel is in a great location with several restaurants nearby and a bar/restaurant next door. It is minutes away from Cadet métro station and an easy walk to Gare du Nord for access to CDG airport. Our room, while not huge, was spotless and had everything. One small quibble….. the safe was at the back of a high shelf in the wardrobe making access difficult. There was coffee available all day free of charge in the breakfast room. This was a welcome bonus after a hard day’s sightseeing. The hotel has great character and we would be very happy to stay there again.

Great area, moments away from Cadet Metro which links you straight to popular attractions like the Louvre, Pont Neuf and the Latin quarter. Surrounding area has lovely restaurants and shops - Rue Cadet is a gorgeous street nearby with lots of shops and eateries. At the bottom of Rue Cadet you will find the entrance to Passage Verdeau which is a must see!! Staff were all so friendly, and we really couldn’t have been happier with our stay

This hotel is a safe, clean and comfortable place to stay. Not fancy but a great central location to sightsee from. We spent six nights here. Loved the foam mattress beds, always got a restful sleep. The AC, Elevator and hair dryer always worked perfectly. The staff were always courteous and professional. The area is perfect for sightseeing. The Cadet Metro station is right around the corner as well as a grocery store, bakery, Starbucks and the Post Office. Tons of restaurants. Easy 1 mile walk to the Seine tourist area, 20 minute walk to Montmartre, the Opera and Galleries Lafayette was a close walk too. Enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

nice quiant hotel in great location for plenty of cafes/bars right on your door. reception 2 ladies and man were ever so pleasant and helpful. the rooms were typical parisian which is what we were looking for the authentic hotel . we had breakfast which was fine [continental]. one minor point we didnt know about was that we were charged just over 5 euros per person per night which is a tax to pay for the olympics even tho the olympics is next month. returning to the cdg airport the hotel offers a taxi 65 euros we did uber 40 euros all in all we would return again

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights 10 days before the Olympics (in hindsight we may have chosen different dates) The hotel is well located for bars/cafes/restaurants. Our room was ok, fairly basic but AC was fantastic! Hairdryer was pretty rubbish so if you have long hair, bring your own. Took me around 15 mins to dry mine and it’s mega short. The hotel states you have tea/coffee in rooms, but we didn’t have anything- not even a kettle. When we asked about this we were told it was broken and may be put back on Monday (day we checked out). I also asked another couple if they had anything, they stated no they hadn’t. The rooms are clean but dated. TV hit and miss - could only get 1 US channel but to be honest we didn’t miss it as we were so busy. We arrived around 9pm due to a fight delay and the man behind the reception was not very welcoming. He didn’t greet us just looked up as if we were inconveniencing him. We saw him each evening and he was the same. The hotel claims it has a bar… this is a small cabinet in the room next to reception. No one manning it and no alcohol that we could see. If you have a lot of luggage, you’ll need to either take it up to your room in stages or walk up the spiral stairs. The lift is tiny! Breakfast was continental and ok, usual cereal, juice, tea, coffee etc. Meats, cheese croissants and breads. It is completely self service but staff are available for any assistance you need. Would we stay there again? Probably not.
