We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by friendly helpful staff. They guided us through the check in process with ease and a smile. The staff spoke good english. The rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable. The air-conditioning was something important to me it was 32 degrees celcius when we arrived, it worked well and was easily controlled in the bedroom. Also, the windows were really tall, so it was easy to get fresh air from outside in the morning. I slept well with very little noise outside considering we were in a major city. The biggest advantage was having the République Metro station just outside which was so convenient, this allowed us to all main areas within minutes. There was also a supermarket just across the road which allowed us to get all the basics we wanted like bottled water and milk for a cup of tea in the morning, this was easily kept fresh in the fridge in the room. Overall the stay was incredible and we really enjoyed this hotel.

This was a nice small boutique hotel. The rooms are tiny as one expects in Paris. This was a nice small boutique hotel. The rooms are tiny as one expects in Paris. We were happy with the location, but to be honest, Paris is such a walkable city that we are not sure if there is a bad location. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only things my keeping us from a five star rating was the lack of ac. It is billed as having air conditioning but when we asked about it (it was warm during our visit), we were told they were not prepared to start up the system and we should just open our window. This worked fine for letting in the cool night sir, but it also let in all the street noise. Yes, I know, this is the definition of a privileged existence, but one of the primary reasons for getting a hotel room is to get a good nights sleep!

The best thing about this hotel is the location, in that there's a metro stop literally in front of the hotel entrance. The room looked like it hadn't been updated in at least 10 years, likely more. It was at least clean. The walls are paper thin, and we could hear normal-volume conversations from next door neighbors. Oh, and whenever someone turned on the faucet or flushed. The worst part is that the single elevator broke on our second day there. We were on the fourth floor, and the spiral staircase was steep and very narrow. If you happen to have mobility issues, you weren't going up or coming down.
