My wife and I recently hosted our wedding guest welcome reception at the Hotel Marignan Champs Elysée Paris. We live in the United States and were initially anxious about planning an event for family and friends overseas without immediate access to venues, vendors, or tastings. We reviewed multiple venue selections recommended by our planner and were very happy with our decision to select the Marignan Eiffel Suite at Hotel Marignan. Our point person at the hotel, Lucie Linardon, was an absolutely gracious and accommodating event manager. She was readily available through email and WhatsApp and was kind enough to give us a tour of the facilities and venue prior to the event itself. Furthermore, she and her staff provided us access to the venue to deliver and arrange welcome gifts for our guests in the weeks before the event. The hotel facade is very beautiful, clean, and chic. The entryway is modern and branches off to a very attractive lobby and restaurant lounge. The venue space itself was more than spacious enough to accommodate our fifty guests with ample indoor room and an absolutely beautiful balcony with a direct view of the Eiffel Tower and the beautiful Paris skyline. The venue staff were all very friendly and gracious, and more than capable of communicating with our guests in both French and English. Our guests were very impressed with the setup and gorgeous city views, and several guests booked rooms at the hotel and were very pleased with their accommodations and stays. Thank you to Lucie and her entire team for helping host a wonderful event celebrating our wedding. We look forward to seeing the Marignan balcony views again on our next trip to Paris.

“A 5-star hotel in a perfect location”

After doing an exhaustive amount of research on hotels in Paris, we were fortunate to find the Hotel Marignan. We spent 5 nights in mid-May. Starting a couple of weeks before our arrival, the hotel concierge started emailing me about what services they could provide to enhance our experience, such as airport transfers, breakfast, etc. We arranged transfers to the train station, and also to the airport on the day of departure. The concierge, M. Guidetti, is extremely detail-oriented and gracious, so we were confident that we would not miss our train or flight home! We booked a Prestige room with a partial view of the Eiffel Tower. When we arrived, the TV is turned on and my name was on the screen, welcoming us. The room was spacious, the bathroom was large and spotless, and at this room level there is included a Japanese Toto washlet (bidet) for the toilet. When I booked the hotel, I mentioned that we were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary followed by my birthday the next day. We were surprised by celebratory balloons, a rose wreath on the bed, and a piece of cake on both days congratulating both occasions. It is thoughtful gestures that can elevate a hotel to 5 star status. The location is perfect, about a 1 minute walk to FDR metro station on the Champs-Elysees, which serves line 1 and line 9, although the underground walk to line 9 is quite a distance from the station and line 1. There are many, many restaurants right outside the door, and the grocery store Franprix is a 5 minute walk away on the next street, Rue Marbeuf should you want to buy snacks. We found some great restaurants within 10 minutes of the hotel, off of the touristy Champs-Elysees. We didn't have the chance to eat at the hotel restaurant for lunch or dinner, but we did enjoy the breakfast buffet during our stay. It is plentiful and full of the delicious staples that are found at hotel breakfasts in France. Think croissants, bread, scrambled/hard-boiled eggs, bacon/sausage, yogurts, cereals, smoked salmon, lunch meats, etc. etc. The only problem is that we never had the chance to eat lunch because we were too full from breakfast. The staff are constantly striving to make sure you enjoy your stay at the hotel. There is a nightly turn-down service, and if you happen to be in the room when they come, they will ask if you need anything. The receptionists, concierge, and doormen, who are all genuinely friendly, bend over backwards to assist their guests. Word must have gotten out in the US about this hotel because there were plenty of Americans during our stay. In fact, I heard mostly English-speaking guests. When we go back to Paris, it's nice to know that we don't have to do all the research to find a hotel anymore!
