Local metro only 5mins. Hotel room was spacious, clean with extra bonuses of Free safe , fridge, water, kettle ( tea/coffee) , balcony doors. Shower was very powerful, perfect after a cold day . Staff were so friendly. 2 ladies travelling and felt very safe . Would highly recommend. Very good value for money. Basic ,but just used as a base . Would definitely return.

I was extremely nervous about staying in Paris at the height of the current bedbug situation, but I was quite happy with the property - it was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. I found the property charming and the staff friendly, too. I opted for the reservation with breakfast and was quite pleased at the selection. The location was awesome with lots of cafes/restaurants and shopping within walking distance (Galleries Lafayette was about an 18-minute walk). I felt comfortable and safe as a solo traveler. It is an older property -- the rooms (and particularly the bathroom) are smaller, the hallway has an interesting floor plan and the elevator is tiny and vintage, only fitting one person at a time. I would definitely stay again.

We picked this hotel because it was perfect location-wise. The surroundings are also great, tons of nice restaurants and we felt very safe even being 4 women. The staff was friendly and the French breakfast was good, plenty for the price you pay. I liked the breakfast room with the stone walls a lot. The hotel is a typical 3 star Paris hotel which means small rooms, tiny bathrooms and thin walls. The bathroom was modern, only the absence of a shower screen was a bit annoying. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. It had some signs of wear and tear but nothing big. I would stay there again for a short duration.

In any other city, I would have given this hotel 2 stars, but seeing that it is Paris, I’m a bit more lenient. Location is amazing. We could walk to almost everywhere from this hotel. And the neighborhood itself is great. Hotel is surrounded by tons of good restaurants and cafés which really contributed to us having a great time in Paris. The staff was super friendly and was happy to help every time we reached out to them. Definitely a plus for this hotel. But the positive stops there. The hotel is very dated and is in need of renovations. For example, the wallpaper in our room was ripped in a few places. The smell in the room was also bad (musty/mildewy). Thankfully we could leave our window open during the day to air it out. The AC unit kept making a weird buzzing sound which would keep us up at night. We therefore had to turn it off, which meant we were very hot at night. The shower does not have a door so the water splashed onto the floor, which then made it slippery. The seat on the toilet was cracked (first time I’ve seen this). The walls are paper thin and our neighbors woke us up every morning. To close the door you have to slam it (very hard, which makes a ton of noise). And if you don’t do it quickly enough, the lock starts beeping - again, super noisy. So while we weren’t happy about our neighbors waking us up, we couldn’t help but feel bad for probably bothering our own neighbors at night or in the morning. And the weirdest thing of all in my opinion: when you leave the hotel, you must leave your key at the reception. It’s not a big deal in the sense that clearly, hotel staff have access to all rooms all the time anyway, but to me, this is just a really awkward customer experience that could be avoided. All in all, for the price that we paid, this was not good value… even for Paris.
