This was a solo 50th birthday getaway. Absolutely pleased from the introductory greeting at my arrival from Madame Angela! This is the perfect getaway from the loud city sounds but still very close to transportation! It’s surrounded by great cafes and the hotel decor is very relaxing neutral colors and felt like home every time I returned. As a person who needs accommodations there is an elevator that fit me and one piece of luggage comfortably. There’s also free WiFi for guests. The single room feels like tiny living but so well organized. I could not have been more pleased with the air conditioning unit in my room which was very quiet but worked perfectly! My room was refreshed everyday without asking and in the evening there are complimentary beverages and small pastries. In the morning there is breakfast that you can add to your package or they allow you to add daily, if desired. There was a glitch when booking through a third-party but management contacted me immediately to ensure I was not susceptible to any fraudulent activity and advised that I disregard any messages and corresponded with me personally which I appreciate. The front desk staff speaks multiple languages and was helpful with area landmarks and provided directions. If I ever return to Paris I will be sure to make reservations here again.

My wife and I and her brother stayed at this boutique hotel in Paris for a few days. We had no idea what to expect as our booked Air B&B was non-livable. After searching on the web we liked what the Joe M showed. The staff were so nice in showing us some rooms which we liked and consequently booked. The rooms are modern and very clean. The street is relatively quiet at night and they have a breakfast area but its not free. All the staff there were very courteous and friendly. They always smile and accommodate our requests for booking restaurants and calling cabs. Also recommending places to eat. Right across the street from the hotel are two very good restaurants. Vale & Ale which is all about old world pasta and the other Le Fils e Maman or something like that. Chicken Borginion is their specialty but they have other good food. Its also a bar. This hotel is very well located. Just a block or two to the Metro, and bus stops on Grand Boulevard, which is a nice walk but a bit touristy.. You can walk to many places or take the public transport system. There is a laundrymat across the street and other services too. We will definitely stay at this gem of a hotel again. Its rated at 3 stars but I'd give it a 4!!

A lovely small boutique hotel situated in a great location close to many points of interest. The staff were welcoming and super friendly and a huge plus point. The lift was small but perfectly adequate so no complaints at all. We stayed in a superior room which was clean and stylish, the shower was quite snug but again, nothing to complain about. A lovely stay and would recommend and will absolutely return.

We had a very good 4 night stay at Hôtel Joe M. The check-in was friendly and efficient, and all the people we dealt with at the reception were very nice and polite. The hotel: It was recently renovated, everything looked brand new and was very clean. The location is very good: The Grands Boulevards Metro station on lines 8 and 9 is a 3 minutes walk away, Cadet metro station on line 7 is a 5 minutes walk away, Gare du Nord metro and train station on lines 4 and 5 is 16 minutes walk away. It is located on a quiet side street close to various bigger streets and has lots of restaurants, bars, and cafés nearby. The rooms: Our room 105 was a standard double without a balcony (unless you count that you can put your toes out via the grid in the window!). It had shower only. Also provided were an empty mini-fridge where you can put your own snacks, a good quality coffee maker with coffee pods and milk, a small table and a chair. There was no shelved storage space in the room, only a few cloth hangers. The room was quiet, we did not hear any noise from street or neighbouring rooms and hence had a very good night's sleep every night. Our friend's first room for the first night was small and it did not have a fridge or a coffee machine. It did have a kettle though and teas and coffees. She then upgraded it to a superior room 204 for about 30 euros per night. The room had the same coffee maker as our room, a mini fridge, a small bath with a shower over it and a balcony big enough for a table and 2 chairs. The bathrooms: Toiletries were by NUXE: A full size bottle of hair and body product bolted to the wall in the bathroom, full size bottle of handwash in the toilet area and a mini bottle of body cream which was replaced daily. The storage space for our own toiletries in all the bathrooms was adequate. The breakfast: The breakfast was good, it cost 18 euros per person per day. The selection included mini pastries (croissants, pain au chocolat, pain aux raisin), fresh baguette, crepes, toast, jams and honey, yoghurts, fruit, dried fruits, fruit salad, scrambled eggs, sausage, hams, cheeses, different kinds of juices including a freshly squeezed orange juice, and a coffee machine to make cappuccino, espresso, café au lait etc. General: One day we were at the reception at around 3pm and noticed they served coffee, tea, mineral water and mini pastries there. That was a nice little "extra." You need to leave the keys at the reception when going out. Unless they know you when you come back and ask for the keys they check your name against the room number. We liked that because it was a more secure system than what many of the hotels in Paris have. They also have a secure method for leaving the luggage when checking out and leaving for the final spot of sightseeing before leaving Paris: They give you a token for each item left and check the luggage against the counterpart when you come back to collect it. We would be happy to stay at Hôtel Joe M again.
