Our second time in this little gem which is quite close to the Pigalle, the Nouvelle Athenes and the Notre Dame de Lorette areas. Our beautiful room (a very decent size room) was on the third floor facing the street (a bit noisy but very controllable and not all the time) thus giving us the chance to enjoy looking at the Parisian terraces and city's daily charm and ambience. Our double bed was very comfy with 4 big soft pillows. We've been in Paris 7 times during the last 10 years and it's our fourth consecutive time staying in a hotel of the Astotel chain and every time we appreciate the daily free cold drinks in the room's mini bar as well as the Astotour (free drinks, coffee and various snacks and fruit) for every hotel of the chain. It sounds unreal but it's real!! The breakfast was very satisfactory with plenty of choices such as juices, omelette, bacon/sausages, potatoes, different types of cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, pieces of fruit, fruit salad, bread, galettes, different types of cereal/oatmeal, nuts and even pancakes etc. etc. There is also a coffee machine with various types of coffee and chocolat, very appreciative. The lady in the big breakfast salle was very nice, very keen to help us with anything and mostly with a smile. I would like to make a special reference to the Hotel's manager Ms. Sonja who would come every morning during our breakfast to have a small courteous conversation and ask us how we are and if we need anything. At one occasion I mentioned that I needed something for the room and by the time we returned to our room from the breakfast, it was there. How can you not be appreciative when they try to make our stay even more comfortable and pleasant. Hopefully we will be back soon not only in Paris but in Hotel George in particular.

Super friendly effortless check in, wonderful staff, great atmosphere, modern design, great room with spacious bathroom with fantastic shower. “Pity about the poor soundproofing.”

The friendly receptionist was very helpful and informative. She always greeted us with a smile. The location is good. Close to the metro. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The room is small, as expected. Our room was at the back, as we had asked. Not all hotels try to meet requests for a room away from the street. Everything was really clean. The sanitary fittings in the ensuite were spotlessly clean, as was the mastic around the bath. The tiles, however, need to be replaced at this stage. There is complementary Nespresso coffee as well as soft drinks in reception 24/7. There is a fridge in the room. It was replenished every day of our three-day stay with complementary bottled water. This daily replenishment rarely happens in other hotels, in my experience. There is a good-sized safe in the room. The AC worked well to cool the room. Customer service is clearly a priority with this hotel group. They have an arrangement with 16 other hotels around the city where a guest of one can pop into any of them to use the bathroom or the free coffee and soft drinks. However, the lack of soundproofing is an issue. We could hear our neighbour using the bathroom. Despite the many positives, I wouldn’t stay here again because of this.
