I stayed at Hotel Des Mines with a group of my high school students in February 2025 in a variety of room configurations (single, twin, triple, and quad). I cannot say enough positive things about all aspects of the experience! The first (and to me most important) thing was the superior communication and assistance from Pauline, the manager. When dealing with hotels, it's common for the experience to feel impersonal, but at every turn Pauline was exceptional in making our group feel welcome, from timely and clear communication leading up to our visit, to her flexibility in managing a group of our size when it came to breakfast service. The hotel itself was also PERFECT on many levels. The rooms were clean and modern (many with charming balconies), and the common areas clean and stylishly appointed. The location of the hotel is also ideal--it's a short (one block!) walk to the RER B station that runs directly to CDG airport, plus walking distance (10-15 minutes) to areas such as Rue Mouffetard, Luxembourg Gardens, the Pantheon, and Notre Dame Cathedral. Despite the proximity to such lively areas, the block where the hotel is located is quiet and wasn't as noisy at night as it is a short walk north towards Notre Dame. Everything about the experience was magnificent--strongly recommend!

“Hotel Des Mines”
Great hotel in a quiet neighbourhood, and well positioned to the metro, Gare du Nord, as well as a good choice of restaurants close by and a couple of parks. The staff are lovely too and very helpful! We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. It was very central and a 2 minute walk from the Luxembourg train stop which brings you very close to the Louvre and Westfield shopping centre. “Clean, easy, and convenient!”
Overall great stay- clean hotel rooms, easy communication with hotel staff, in a convenient location. Just note the hotel room sizes. If you're planning to spend most of your time in Paris outside of your hotel room but want a safe, clean, and convenient location, this is the hotel for you.

Comfortable bed, large bathroom. The hotel offers breakfast. There are no cons kettle, elevator only to the 5th floor. Our room was on the 6th floor, so we climbed one floor on foot. The level of cleaning leaves much to be desired - the mirror and shelf in the bathroom were not cleaned for the first three days
