“Great hotel”

Stayed for one night during the Olympics. Super friendly staff and slept really well. The bed was really comfortable. Great neighborhood also and really close to 3 metro lines. Rooms are a bit small but that didn’t matter to me. Highly recommend!

We visited Paris for 5 nights for the Olympics and booked Hotel Des Comedies last minute due to our booking at another hotel being cancelled. I am so glad we chose to stay at Hotel Des Comedies we couldn’t fault it! Location is great 15/20 min walk for Gare du Nord, 2 metro stations at the top of the street and plenty of bars and restaurants (with happy hours) in walking distance. The room was lovley and clean with air con and a safe. Very comfortable bed. The bathroom was a little dated but clean. The staff on reception and house keeping were very friendly. The rates was very reasonable for the period we stayed and I would 100% recommended to others!

“Great family room”

Stayed for two nights in the family room, a duplex with view of sacre cour from top window! Really big spacious room with two bathroom and v comfy beds. Great shower, tv etc. breakfast was simple but had everything we needed and worth including. Hotel staff v friendly. We chose for proximity to Gare fu Nord, sometimes taxi but mostly we walked … Notre Same, Opera and Louvre all 20-30 mins walk. Would absolutely stay again!

“Charming Stay but Maintenance Falls Short”

We had a lovely stay at Hotel des Comédies, conveniently located near the Bonne Nouvelle metro station. The hotel features beautiful decor and has a small, cozy atmosphere. We stayed in a three-bedroom room on the fourth floor. The breakfast was authentically French and quite delicious. While the variety wasn’t extensive, it was more than enough to keep us happy and our tummies full. The pastries were particularly amazing! However, there were some less positive aspects related to the hotel’s maintenance. The carpets and curtains in our room had noticeable stains, which was disappointing. Additionally, the shower head was broken, causing water to splash everywhere, and the shower door leaked all over the bathroom. We had to use all the towels to soak up the water, which meant we couldn’t use them again the next day, as we try to limit towel usage to help the environment. Furthermore, the toilet seat and lid were both broken, and the air vents desperately needed to be cleaned. We reported these issues to the staff on our first day, but unfortunately, nothing was done during our stay. Given these maintenance issues, the price felt a bit high. Despite these concerns, the beds were very comfortable, and the linens were soft and cosy. Aurélie at the front desk was fantastic, and all the staff members were friendly and welcoming. Overall, with some attention to maintenance, this hotel could easily elevate the experience even further.
