I stayed at the hotel during the Olympics. From the moment I walked in the staff were welcoming and helpful. The lady at check in was so polite and she also spoke English well. Sorry I can’t remember her name. It was a heatwave when I was there and the twin room temperature was fine. The window could be opened which is a bonus as in many hotels you can’t open windows. The bathroom also had a window and had a very good power shower. The water temperature was also excellent with hot water. The room and bathroom were clean and modern. I had a good nights sleep and the bed was comfortable. A view of the square from the room which was good. There was no loud traffic sounds from the road. The breakfast area is in a cave like room in a basement which had well laid out food items. I walked around the area and although there did seem to be a lot of people sitting around on the benches in the square I felt safe walking to the nearby train stations. On the night I returned from the Stade De France I took a taxi from the station. People who were outside were either sitting in small groups and did not appear to make it unsafe to be there. I would definitely stay at the hotel for a short break. It is everything that you would want from a hotel.

Nice hotel Nice reception staff Room good , comfortable bed , shower room nicely decorated Maybe a world news channel on tv would be good Vending machine will only take notes , but change is only given in coins ! Location not comfortable, though well placed for metro and Gare du nord .

This hotel was just for us to sleep and get changed so not expecting the world. We did notice the area it is situated in seems quite poor and so there is some homelessness and street vendors selling cigarettes next to La Chapelle. However, no one bothered you and I didn’t feel unsafe at all. My female friend did say she’d feel uncomfortable walking alone at night. However, the hotel is beautiful. Incredibly clean with all amenities you could ask for. The beds were comfortable the room was cleaned and turned down. The only downside is the shower in the bathroom doesn’t have enough enclosure so don’t be surprised when your bathroom becomes aqua land. The buffet breakfast was €14 each and had pastries, hot chicken, scrambled egg, toast, cereal, yoghurt and coffee/tea/juice. Perfect. I’d definitely recommend and the 15 min walk to the Gare Du Nord makes travelling in and out of Paris so easy. Also La Chapelle services Blanche where you’ll find the Moulin rouge, the tube is 5 mins from the hotel
