“The friendliest and most helpful staff ever!”
The hotel is a lovely small hotel with the most helpful and friendliest staff ever. The gentleman on reception went out of his way with advice on where to eat, what metros to take, directions to different places and overall, was extremely helpful in every way. It made our trip alot less stressful!

I was aware of the stairway (22 steps) from the ground floor to the check in area upstairs but after wandering lost for a few minutes, dragging a carry on along sidewalks & cobblestone streets, I was not prepared for this experience. Which allowed for the the 1st opportunity of service provided by the hotel. Ferdinada (co-owner along with husband Francois) met me halfway on the staircase and took the carry on from me. She also took the bag to my room (accessed via elevator) while I checked in. I am in my late 60's and Ferdinada is older than me yet had no hesitation at providing a helping hand. The weekend manager is Farouk and it is the service of these 3 people that have me raving about Hotel Cosmotel. I have never experienced better service from any lodging provider. My room was #22 and it was spacious for European standards & spacious in general. The bathroom was almost double the size of mine at home. For me, due to mobility issues, I would have preferred a smaller bathroom with a shower as opposed to the bathtub that was at least 22 inches high, making entering/exiting a challenge for me more than the 22 step stairway. To my surprise there was a mini fridge in the room, a spacious closet with a safe, two desk chairs, a desk/bureau that had 3 large draws for clothing storage. My room had a window that opened onto Boulevard de Strasbourg & air conditioning. There was no full length mirror in the room, there was a mirror in the bathroom & above the desk/bureau. There was wear and tear signs in the room such as a chipped vanity, the closet doors that could have used a fresh coat of paint. None of the minor negatives concerned me but they exist. Despite asking for no daily room service, it was provided. Towels were changed daily, the room was clean. Breakfast at 9 Euro is provided. I had my full of croissants, baguette, cheese, cereal, orange juice & coffee daily. There was also yogurt and 2 or 3 other items that I did not eat. No fresh fruit that I recall. There was a Nespresso coffee maker. I found the ordinary coffee provided sufficient. Farouk & Francois (both fluent in English) provided help with directions, sites, currency, whatever was asked for as well as not asked for. It was a pleasure and reassuring knowing help was available at the front desk if needed. Room key must be given to staff when leaving the hotel. Metro station with 3 lines, a short walk from the hotel. Bus service was lacking as the bus stop on Boulevard de Strasbourg almost directly across from the hotel terminated 2 stops later. It did get me to Gare Du Nord. I never used the other bus route on the main intersecting street with Boulevard de Strasbourg. Aside from the 22 step spiral staircase that must be used to access lobby.reception there is elevator access at the check in to rooms on all floors. Had no issue with the staircase after day 1. I did have to be cautious getting in & out of the bathtub due to my mobility issues. Next time I will request a walk in shower. Unlike my last stay in Paris, I felt comfortable at this hotel. Appreciated having a closet to hang clothes with a safe. Strangely, whatever code entered on the safe, appeared as 0000 not the numbers I entered. Do not be in a rush to enter a code & be certain your finger is hitting only the number you desire, there is no indication if another number has been pressed. A final example of service offered...I told Francois that I had washed pants that I had dirtied while touring. He offered that if I could not iron the pants well, he would have Ferdinada press the pants. I did a good enough job with the iron & board in the closet.

Clean hotel but the rooms are TINY!! We were a family of 3 sharing one room with 2 beds, so it was a very tight squeeze. We stayed there en route to our travel to India and had 3 large suitcases and 3 carry ons and laptop bags! There is an elevator only from the second floor, so lugging the suitcases up the stairs to get to the elevator was a challenge, though the staff did help! The staff was courteous and helpful. We had breakfast there, and it was good but just a standard no frills breakfast. The hotel is close to the metro and train stations. The major attractions are about 20-30 minutes away by walk, so accessibility was good. Overall, a decent hotel.

“Cosy family hotel”
Small and personal hotel, situated relatively central in Paris ( close to metro and Les Halles). Clean and comfortable, friendly and service minded owner ( family?) . Nice full breakfast. Very good value for the money!
