It was our first visit to lovely Paris and Hotel Caron le Marais did not disappoint us because of its street charm and location to everything including the Metro. Room space is adequate enough for us. We love its retro modern decor including the bathroom. Occitane brand shower soaps were a delightfully a plus. Kettle with tea cups with small fridge in the room. We include the hotel breakfast buffet Parisian style. My wife and I with two luggages fits adequately in their small elevator. The staffs are accommodating and friendly. A big shoutout to reception monsieur Sully, Tas and Raoul. Also to the reception madam Theresa (the lady with a eyeglass, please pardon if I type your name wrong) and Sarah. We also appreciates Cristina, the breakfast madam and the room cleaning lady (sorry we forgot to get her name). So overall we had a very good solid five day stay at Hotel Caron le Marais. We will definitely be back again at Hotel Caron for our future second visit. We realized five full days in Paris not enough especially to first timers like us. Merci beaucoup Hotel Caron Ellis and Janette

“Very good”
Very good service. No complaints whatsoever. Room was clean, the bed and pillows were very nice. The free minibar is a nice little extra. Located in a very good location. Very centrally located while still being very affordable. We will definitely consider this hotel when we return to Paris.

We stay in Paris two or three times a year and always in the same area. I’ve never stayed at Caron before but it was available for a last-minute booking at a reasonable rate. I can honestly say that compared to other hotels in The Marais it compares very well. Some reviews comment on the room sizes. Our room was one of the larger ones that we have had in Paris. With some hotels you literally can’t walk around the bed, but this one had plenty of space and lovely street facing Windows. Bathroom sizes in most hotels in Paris are challenging, and this is no exception, but it works. Yes, it is a tiny street in central Paris so there is street noise and some talking from people standing around. For us the smoking was worse -we had to close the windows but that’s the French for you and we have to accept their cultural habits as we are guests in their country! The two reception staff are an absolute asset to the hotel. Incredibly friendly and helpful. I don’t think people should complain about breakfast in a hotel like this. For visitors to Paris, there really is no need to eat in the hotel, there is so much choice within a couple of minutes walk. For anybody that hasn’t been to Paris, and is considering this hotel, yes you will find the rooms smaller than you are used to, but I promise you they are larger than most ! Also, some thought has gone into the interior decorations, which is not always the case in hotels of this price range in Paris. As seasoned visitors to Paris, we would stay again.

This was my second stay at the Hotel Caron. Last time I was by myself and perhaps that is why it was a better experience. I traveled with my son and the room was tight for the two of us. I don’t mind tight hotel rooms, but for some reason, this was slightly uncomfortable and we just aimed to avoid the room as much as possible. I am reluctant to leave anything negative because the people that work there are kind, and there are some good things about the hotel but because I rely on Tripadvisor for information, I feel as though this needs to be noted for people who are doing similar research that I do before I book a hotel. I think the size of the room would have been less of an issue if the room itself was clean or at least felt cleaner. When we checked in, the toilet wasn’t cleaned thoroughly and had stains leftover. It was a little disturbing. Fortunately, I had my own wipes that I was able to use and I cleaned it myself. I think that just started the visit off on a bad note and it couldn’t get back on track. In addition, the throw blanket on the edge of the bed (used as decor) was not clean. But here are the positives: this is a phenomenal location near the St Paul metro station. It is near so many restaurants as well as a place where you can have your laundry washed and folded in less than 24 hours. You can walk easily to Notre Dame, Place des Vosges and obviously to the left bank very quickly. I am torn because I really do love a small hotel off the beaten path, but I am not sure if I will return again to this one.
