“Cosy and practical small hotel”

We initially chose this hotel due to its close proximity with Gare du Lyon, where we had to connect to an intercity train. The hotel is located in a quiet lane with several hotels of the same class. The staff were helpful and couldn't expect more from them. We booked a quad room and were given a room on the highest level, on the fifth floor, which was quiet and cosy with a fully renovated room and bathroom. Internet connection was good as we could upload our pictures quite quickly. Breakfast was simple but adequate. This is a small operation family - owned hotel with 25 rooms and provides value for money.

“A small, clean hotel in a good location”

A very small hotel but it did the job for us. It is located about 5 mins walk from the Bastille area that has some lovely little cafe bars/restaurants. There are also lots of other little cafe bars close to the hotel that we discovered when walking around. It's a bit too far to walk to the big tour… more

A very small hotel but it did the job for us. It is located about 5 mins walk from the Bastille area that has some lovely little cafe bars/restaurants. There are also lots of other little cafe bars close to the hotel that we discovered when walking around. It's a bit too far to walk to the big tourist attractions but it's less than 5mins from Gare de Lyon where you can catch buses/metros etc - all very regular! The room literally is a bed, table with shower. But the bed was very comfy and the air con was a God send. There is coffee & tea available in reception which is a bit of a pain but at least it's something. We had an issue one night with people in he next room keeping us up for over an hour and a half, but that's not the hotels fault - just bad luck for us. For the price of the room we

“pity about incorrect payment demand at check-out”

Could have been excellent - but terrible lady at reception at check out - demanding payment, when we'd already paid, ignoring our receipt, taking the room key when we hadn't checked out. We eventually saw that she was looking at the wrong room, but she never apologised at all. Otherwise it was an e… more

Could have been excellent - but terrible lady at reception at check out - demanding payment, when we'd already paid, ignoring our receipt, taking the room key when we hadn't checked out. We eventually saw that she was looking at the wrong room, but she never apologised at all. Otherwise it was an excellent stay and the check in experience was the complete opposite and nice, spacious, clean room. Her attitude ruined it which is a shame as we liked the hotel otherwise and would have highly recommended it
