My parents and I booked 2 rooms for 3 nights here as part of a European trip. The hotel is situated along a quiet street in Paris' 8th arr. The Madeleine metro station and church it's named after are a few minutes walk away. Place de la Concorde is just beyond that and then the river Seine. The Louvre would be about a 30 minute walk. At the time of this review the Olympics were officially over but there was still lots of scaffolding and blockades in place. No fault of the hotel though. We arrived around noon and were absolutely thrilled to learn that our rooms were ready. The lady that checked us in was very sweet and tolerated my efforts to speak French. Every time we saw her we received a friendly greeting, morning, day, or night. The rooms were basic but clean. The bed was a little on the firm side but not bad. The AC was nice and cold just the way I like it. The bathroom was immaculately clean and the water in the shower was steamy hot with a tub. The little sliding glass door allowed water to get on the floor which was a bit of a nuisance though. A bidet was also included. Wifi was adequate, no complaints there. The hotel is directly opposite an elementary school so you will hear children during your stay but this didn't bother me in the least. You'll find a few restaurants too and a small grocery store to stock up on supplies like snacks and drinks for the mini fridge. We were also pleased to learn that breakfast was included with our stay due to my status as a Hotels.com gold member. It was served in a charming spot in the basement. Croissants, a baguette, jams, juice, apple sauce, and coffee were served. Ham, eggs, and other things were available at an extra charge. The ladies that worked there spoke very little English but I spoke enough French for us to get by so that wasn't a problem. It was quite good and saved us the trouble of going out to find a place on our own. We enjoyed our time here and appreciated the warm hospitality of this small hotel. I would certainly consider staying again if we found ourselves in the same part of Paris.

“Excellent location close to Champs-Elysees”
We stayed at Hotel Alison for four nights in June and loved this hotel. The staff are excellent and go out of their way to book restaurants and assist with recommendations. The rooms are small but clean and the location is close to restaurants, shops and the metro. Very nice for the price.

“Paris dream”
Great location. Very quiet at night. Breakfast kind of expensive. Friendly staff. 10 minutes to champs elysee... restaurants are hear good.

“We will be returning”
This is such a nice hotel. The hosts are amazing and go above and beyond. The breakfast is perfect with everything you need. The room is clean and the beds are very comfortable, with everything you need. I would recommend this place and will be coming back too.
