“Good experience ”

Good location. Walking distance to everything, restaurants, Champs elysees, Trocadero,etc. I did not use public transportation at all due to the good location of the hotel. I even walked to the Eiffel Tower! Clean room,quiet area,friendly staff. My luggage was stored before my check in time which was very convenient for me.

“Left to our own devices”

When we arrived at the hotel we were asked to wait in the bar room off the lobby so we sat there waiting while another couple were checked in. When we were called up to reception the staff members both assisted us. They were ensuring that we had provided our credit card for the holding charge which was no problem. We were given our room key and shown the lift on the side to our room. We travelled up to our floor and entered our room. It was a family room as there was 3 adults. My adult daughter had a small shingle sofa bed in the corner of the room. As it was winter and freezing in Paris the room was really hot which was great at first but then too hot. The temperature dial did not seem to alter when we turned it down so ended up opening a window to let some cold air in. The room was really small and we struggled with having our suitcases open all at once. The room was equiped with a kettle and some tea and coffee packets. The bathroom was clean for what it was and ok. The Television is not a smart television and does not connect to any devices. There are no direct charging usb ports for charging and the room does not have any power adapters if you are visiting from overseas. We came prepared with our own adapters. When we checked in we were not told anything about the hotel such as restaurant location, hours, bar hours, tea coffee etc and left to work it out ourselves. There was no instructions in the room either on any of the amenities. This will sound stupid but as we had been travelling a while and booked a long time ago we thought that breakfast was not included. We decided on one morning to ask about how much breakfast was and the time and the reception told us it was $14 Euro per person for breakfast and we decided to have breakfast the next day. It was a basic continental breakfast . There was no toast and only scrambled or hard boiled eggs. As we were checking out we explained we had a breakfast as well one day and this is when they told us that it was included in our room rate. This was annoying as we should have known but because nothing was explained by the staff we had no idea. For the location to everything the hotel was fantastic. Overall i would’nt stay here again unless all you wanted was a basi hotel in a great location. We walked to everything or used the trains to get around for the 5 days. There is a fantastic food market on a Wednesday and Saturday where we got some fantastic fresh food and breakfast from.
