“Everything was great”
The metro station is literally 30 seconds away from the hotel, right there, in front of the door. A great location indeed! The staff was so kind, always smiling. Also, the hotel was extremely clean. .

It may be a one star hotel, but this hotel somehow seems to be where I end up staying whenever I've come to Paris. Granted, they've been solo trips, so I've never had the benefit of a travelling companion's opinion on the hotel - but for me, it ticks all the boxes. It's true that Clichy isn't the nicer neighbourhood after dark - some sketchy characters etc, but as a single young woman, nobody bothered me. The hotel is only a few steps from the metro making it easy to reach all the city's attractions and get home safely after a night out. Montmartre is just a short walk away and there's a flea market nearby on the weekends that always sells the quirkiest stuff. The hotel itself is clean and although the rooms are tiny, the beds are comfy and you have your own private bathroom - again, always spotlessly clean. The lack of shower tray doesn't bother me as, having lived in France, it's fairly normal! One issue here is the noise - both from outside and from neighbouring rooms. If you're a light sleeper, this may not be the place for you. The hotel staff are always very welcoming and managed to find me a room at short notice, at 3am once when a couchsurfing booking fell through. Can't fault them for their helpfulness and willingness to please. This will always be my go-to hotel for short trips to Paris. You get what you pay for- no frills, an ideal location for exploring the city and a clean if small room with bathroom. As somewhere to lay your head after a busy day and night in the city, it's ideal!
