Albe Hôtel Saint-Michel

Wonderful location, a hotel in the heart of Paris. The room was very clean and all the personel very helpful.

We recently stayed at the Hotel Albe Saint-Michel. The location is excellent - lots to do within walking distance and many places to choose to eat!. The rooms are not huge (by American standards) but there was plenty of room to move around. We were actually surprised how large the bathroom was! There is a very small elevator (big enough for 3 people or 2 people and luggage) We never had an issue waiting for it. The bed was very comfortable and they honored my pre request of extra pillows. We paid for the breakfast everyday, which for us was a plus. Wonderful coffee ( I loved the Americano). There was scrambled eggs, bacon, sweet rolls, dried and fresh fruit fruit, cold cuts and cheese, cereal and toast, and of course croissants! ( and more) It was a great way for us to start our day. It was worth the extra cost for us. There is a Boulangerie right next door, if you prefer There were a few negatives but they were not a reflection on the staff or the hotel. It is very noisy outside at night, This will only bother you if you have to have fresh air and the windows open when you sleep. You could barely hear anything if the windows were closed. It seems that "partying" doesn't stop until around 4:00 AM. My biggest complaint was the taxi the hotel arranged for us. It was supposed to be a flat rate of 72 euros to the airport. The taxi was 20 minutes late . When we got in I verified the 72 euros, as I did when I handed him my credit card to pay at the end.. When I checked my cc charges, they had charged us $102 (US $). So be leary of the taxies and maybe consider Uber. ( also keep in mind Uber does NOT pick you up at the hotel. You must walk up to the main street - about 100 feet. Would I recommend the Albe - most definitely. Would I stay there again - definitely!

“Very good hotel in the Parisian city center”

The personnel was very nice, the room was good and the breakfast was more than satisfactory. The only reason for lowering my rating is that I could hear almost everything from outside, even though the windows were closed. I don't have much trouble falling asleep, but it was a bit annoying. The personnel was very nice, the room was good and the breakfast was more than satisfactory. The only reason for lowering my rating is that I could hear almost everything from outside, even though the windows were closed. I don't have much trouble falling asleep, but it was a bit annoying. Especially when the city noise and loud visitors of the pub below can be heard well after midnight. Anyway, if you don't mind this (and I think I am one of those people), you will get in return very good hotel with location that is more than perfect.

“Old fashioned”

I find the room worn down and old fashioned. The area of the hotel is in the middle of Paris and perfect for your touristic business. However it is also very noisy in the area. Free new york times is appreciated and there is some tea in the room available.
