“Quiet and comfortable enough for the price”

We stopped here for a night on our way down south. The hotel decor is a bit tired, but the room was quiet and the bed comfortable - with a memory foam pillow (unusual in hotels of this type). The room is just adequately sized for one night, and the bathroom was small with a shower, sink and WC. The towels were a bit better than other similar hotels. We did not have breakfast, so I cannot comment on that. There is good parking and a bunch of places to eat within a short walk. The welcome was also very pleasant. All in all, a perfectly good place for a stopover in this price bracket (€64).

“Good overnight pit stop! ”

We stayed here en route from Calais to Paris in Jan 2020 as a family with a toddler and a small baby. The hotel was easy to find and just off the motorway. The lady on reception, Faustine, was friendly and helpful and we had a good welcome. We’d booked into a family room with a double bed and two singles. The room was a good size and well equipped. My overall impression of the room, and the whole hotel really, is that it’s in need of a lick of paint and a few DIY type jobs! Our room had clearly been cleaned and the beds were comfortable. The gripes referred to in other reviews couldn’t be solved in a regular room clean: stains on the carpet, mould around the shower, grubby grouting on the tiles. That said, we were happy with our stay having paid €55. The location is good- in a shopping estate area with lots of restaurants and shops/supermarkets nearby. We did have breakfast in the hotel- it was fine and typically French! What did baffle us a tad was that we’d received an email advertising a frozen yoghurt machine for breakfast, there were posters about a frozen yoghurt machine at reception, and adverts on all of the placemats on all of the tables for a breakfast frozen yoghurt machine but...we couldn’t find aforementioned machine anywhere!!! All in all, a functional hotel for an overnight stop and would probably stay here (or nearby!) again...especially if they get out the frozen yoghurt machine!!

“Non Smoking Room Smelled of Smoke and Mattress Too Firm for Comfort”

We have stayed at Kyriad hotels in various locations in recent years and found them to generally be good value and pleasant for the room tariff compared with other cheaper and other more expensive ‘budget ‘ hotels. On arrival we were pleasantly greeted by a very pleasant lady receptionist and efficiently offered a room. Entering the room allocated we immediately noticed the room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke despite the no smoking sign. The receptionist inspected our room and without hesitation immediately offered a nearby room which did not have the smell of cigarette smoke. Both rooms were of a size expected in a lower priced hotel and clean. We found the mattress too firm such that our sleep was interrupted several times by pressure on whichever hip was in contact with the mattress at the time. The sanitary facilities worked and the provision of a kettle and tea and coffee served our needs. We declined the breakfast on price and bought at the nearby modern boulangerie that had a choice of breakfast deals, including orange juice squeezed to order, land a spacious area of tables and chairs for eating in.
