“Decent hotel ”

Stayed here as a base to explore the local area and take in some football in Lyon & Lille. Hotel is outside the town but is quiet and clean. Staff were welcoming & helpful. Rooms were a decent size and clean. Would stay afain

This is a nice hotel for conferences. The location is a bit remote from Lyon, however, it has lovely grounds and a peaceful setting. The food was good for large amounts of people and the bathrooms were recently remodeled, which was nice. That said, this is more like a residence hall than a hotel, so a bit slim on amenity level. All of the staff were wonderful and helpful.

“Comfortable stay, one small problem”

I was on a business trip and stayed in this hotel for a couple days, and I was pleased overall. The room was comfortable, clean, and was very quiet on the sixth floor. The shower worked fine and had good water pressure and temperature. Despite the nice stay, I knocked one circle due to the lateness of the breakfast staff. It was a Saturday, and breakfast is advertised to be opened at 0700. However, no one showed up until 0730 just to open the door to the dining area, for the staff member still had to get the breakfast room ready for guests. She wasn’t exactly in a hurry either, so I just waited patiently until the room was finally opened. It wasn’t until 0740 that a second worker arrived, and she was obviously running late. Breakfast wasn’t fully prepared due to the staff’s lateness, and by the time it was I had to leave for the day. On Sunday the staff was much better, and breakfast was fully available. Overall it was a nice stay, despite the breakfast hiccup.

“Overpriced, poor service, very basic rooms”

Travelling from the Uk to Italy we stopped at Valpre's for the night booking through Bookings one hour earlier. We arrived there at 9pm finding the gate closed and no bell at all. Travelling from the Uk to Italy we stopped at Valpre's for the night booking through Bookings one hour earlier. We arrived there at 9pm finding the gate closed and no bell at all. Actually the hotel looked closed! The telephone number provided, which I called for some help was answered by an answer machine and just in French. After half an hour of waiting a car with Danish number plate arrived and went near the gate to digit a code. I then found out that they had just booked with bookings and got an access code to open the gate (we never received it). We took advantage of the situation and entered the hotel with them. The reception was closed as well as the restaurant, but a woman, maybe a waitress passing near by brought herself forward and told us that she wasn't the receptionist. When we all asked where we could get our key, she showed us a sort of box with some room numbers and keys. As the hotel is huge and we couldn't find our room, we had to wait for her to pass by again and ask for information. The room was very basic and small, really overpriced. Had we been less tired, we would have changed hotel!!!
