Stayed for a couple of days and got upgraded to a suite. As an IHG Diamond Elite, I appreciate the automatic upgrade. No asking, just done, as it should be. (And completely unlike Hilton properties) Room was quiet, comfortable and clean and provided a great night's sleep. This hotel requires a bus ride to get to the train station or the old/touristy part of the city, but that is inexpensive and easy. Parking is under the hotel.

“Great 4 star property not far from the city centre”

Location: 3.5km from the city center, but easily accessible, 10-12 minutes with public buses (there are 3 buses that take you to the city: C1: to the Westfield Part-Dieu shopping mall area, C4 to the Jean Mace area (get off earlier to cross over to the Bellecour area with a good view of the bridges) and C5, directly to the Opera House, from where you could take a leisurely walk on Rue de Republique. An Uber to the city costs around €14-17, easily available, half the cost of taxis. The hotel is part of a new(ish) set of orange buildings over a kilometer long, which house a convention center, offices and some other hotels (including the Marriott). All rooms are either park-facing (the location runs along the Tete D'Or park, free to enter), or river-facing (for us, the better option, gives a more expansive view). The river-facing side has a nice jogging track and a bridge you could cross to go to the nearby suburb, to get a local flavor of the outskirts. Rooms: Standard-sized for a business hotel, modern and well designed (except that they don't have a mini fridge, but the staff at reception help if you do want to keep something frozen), including the toilets. We had a water kettle and coffee machine in a standard room. The air conditioning was good, but not exceptional (could be a drag on really hot days). Staff: Extremely friendly and helpful. Room service was lightning-fast. Parking: There's a common parking below the hotel for the entire complex, but better to pay a special rate at the hotel (€15 per day. Costs at least double at the parking kiosk). Breakfast: very good, better on days when the hotel is full. Omelets were made on request. Downsides (not many): 1. Not many restaurant options in the area; just the one at the hotel and Raphaela, an Italian (very average) pizzeria next door. Some more if you cross the Poincare bridge into the next neighborhood, but walking back at night may be spooky. 2. The breakfast restaurant looks a little dated, with faux-velvet themes that belonged to an era of faded opulence.

“Good located business hotel”

This is a Basic business hotel. The service is okay; the furniture of the room is a bit old and the room in general was a bit small. It has a good connection to the city center (just across the bridge) and at the back is a very nice park. The restaurant was okay.
