“Look No Further for Your Strasbourg Hotel! A+ All the Way!”

My husband & I had the immense pleasure of staying for 10 nights at Hotel de L'Europe in Strasbourg once again for vacation. It was our 4th visit there in 12 years, and our 2nd 10 night stay. I can't say enough positive things about this wonderful 4 star hotel (which I think should be 10 stars). Hence, the reason we keep returning. Our twin double room was so spacious even with a sofa, a large shower, and they even gave us welcome gifts upon our arrival. And I thought the price of our room was very, very reasonable. The breakfast buffet had everything you could want from hot foods (eggs, sausage, bacon), to fresh cut fruit, fresh cut veggies, assorted cheeses, meats, yogurts, juices, coffees, teas, jams, assorted croissants & pastries, an assortment of delicious breads, and everything to make a healthy bowl of oats with nuts and seeds. I know I went overboard each day, but it was too irresistible. And now they even added daily complimentary afternoon refreshments in the lobby of coffee, lemonade, and the most delicious moist cake that I also found irresistible. Just as enjoyable as the food, is the wonderful staff from the Hotel Manager Marie Christine, to the other reception staff of Mark, Amine, Noem, and the wonderful breakfast room staff. The area is just a short walk away from Petite France area, tons of restaurants, shops, etc., and even just a short walk to the train station which we walked to several times to take short train rides to other cities like Colmar, Basel, etc. We even took the very short tram ride into Kehl, Germany. I highly, highly, highly recommend you look no further if you are looking for a hotel for your visit to Strasbourg, and I highly recommend Strasbourg as your base, if you want to visit this region of France. Trust me. If you go, it won't be your last time (we even met a man on the elevator who was just as pleased as we were, and he and his wife were already talking about returning). And if you do go, the only regret you will have is that your time there will be over and you have to leave sooner than you wish. But, you can always plan to return. My bonjours to all the staff if they read this, and good journey to all those who will go. I just had to take the time to write this review for a team that made our stay most enjoyable. We're just ordinary tourists like everyone else, but I know how important reviews are as I have written a book, and getting people to post a review is very difficult. Mary Therese Hutchinson :)

“Lovely”

As mentioned by others, the location is very good for walking to the train station and all the sights of the city. We were part of a party that had 3 rooms. Two were on floor 1, and were very spacious by European hotel standards. Towels, sheets and pillows all earn an A+. If you opt for rooms on this floor, there may be noise from the street, but it was not excessive or late into the night. A third room was higher up and was smaller, but less noise. As it was hot, we appreciated the AC.

Exceptional Hotel - starting with the staff, very helpful and friendly. Location is very good close to everything. Family room was big and outstanding. Lots of towels. Air conditioning was active and great. The attendants were all friendly, beyond giving us advice on sight seeing the young gentleman gave us late check out which is helpful when you have kids.
