“Handy and good value, stuffy room and tired”

Adequate, handy and good value with a kitchenette, microwave and fridge. Just off the main street and overlooking the station. Onsite paid parking. Our parking reservation vanished and we were lucky to be able to park. Apparently "this happens" so check. The room was hot, and whilst the window opened fully it was overlooked so lacking in privacy. The portable fan was useless and sounded like someone had thrown a pair of scissors into a garbage disposal so I had to turn it off. A bit noisy. with loud guests. The bathroom was really tired, and the pipework dusty. A huge water heater placed over the loo so watch out.

“Odd place”
We arrived on a Saturday so the reception is closed. You get key codes to door and safe. Studio is OK for a night but wouldn't want to stay longer. Local Street car parking is very expensive so maybe book at the residence. At least 20 minutes walk to the old town.

“Great location but more rental apartment than hotel”

Overall - it is probably more realistic not to consider this so much as a hotel but more like a short term rental apartment with a support office. Then you won't be disappointed... :) Location excellent - very close to the station and very close to Detours bike rental. Easy to find your way back to if cycling back through the city for that reason. It was about 20' walk down to the old town and river front so that was fine too. The downside of a central location as anywhere was that it was quite noisy from the street below but they give you a fan so switch it on for white noise and you will sleep just fine. Reception: is not open full time and has limited hours (including not being open Sundays) however there is always someone friendly on hand. To get in after hours you need to call someone - who will come down and let you in. Our keys and info sheets etc were all in a pre-prepared envelope ready for us. It obviously helps if you can speak French - but I imagine once they have your name they will sort you out ok. We were also able to drop off bags in their lockup as we arrived on a morning train and then picked them up later. Room: was fine - nice bed and bedding and useful little kitchen area. A big sink with a plug made it easy to wash biking clothes! Bike storage: it doesn't look feasible but it is and they can arrange this. You take your bike into reception - go up in the lift / elevator and park and lock the bikes to a bike rack on the low roof (!) of the corridor between their two buildings.
