“Always the perfect stay.”
we stay at this chateau twice a year on our journeys through France. This was the 11th time and like always it was perfect. We always request the same room as it's really convenient as we have our pet dog Ralph with us . He is allowed everywhere which is also very handy. The food was amazi… more
we stay at this chateau twice a year on our journeys through France. This was the 11th time and like always it was perfect. We always request the same room as it's really convenient as we have our pet dog Ralph with us . He is allowed everywhere which is also very handy. The food was amazing again and everyone is extremely friendly. We will be back there in September 2025.

We loved the hotel. Great location, great ambiance, incredibly friendly staff. They welcomed our dog and had a bed and bowls for her. She loved the bed! It was cold and rainy so not really a good time to explore the grounds, but what we did walk was wonderful and the neighbor has a pack / herd /… more
We loved the hotel. Great location, great ambiance, incredibly friendly staff. They welcomed our dog and had a bed and bowls for her. She loved the bed! It was cold and rainy so not really a good time to explore the grounds, but what we did walk was wonderful and the neighbor has a pack / herd / school??? of Alpacas! Well located for venturing out to see the various chateaux in the Loire Valley and after a day of venturing the spa was a nice way to relax.

The chateau is nothing short of spectacular. The rooms, the magnificent halls, the rotundas and pianos in the common rooms, and the grounds are breathtaking. The breakfast and dinner, served in a setting of old-world charm, were world-class. Every single staffer from the concierge to the waiters and sommeliers was friendly, solicitous and kind. Mere minutes from the museum hosting the historic Bayeux Tapestry, we are recommending this jewel to our friends, family, and anyone else who wishes to be treated (for a day or two) like a king or queen.

Château D'artigny & Spa in Montbazon is nothing short of astonishing in size and splendour. Château D'artigny & Spa in Montbazon is nothing short of astonishing in size and splendour. Whilst dated, the room was still excellent and the public rooms, reception, bar and restaurant are simply opulent. We absolutely loved the bar and the bar manager was a charming chap. The grounds are expansive and have to be seen to be believed. A short drive to the marvellous city of Tours, it is ideally placed to explore this historic region. Our only regret was that we did not stay multiple nights. We will be back again to rectify that!
