The hotel is very clean and quiet but it is very hard to get in touch with the hotel staff before hand or after for any problems you may have. Its ok if there is no problem however if you arrive on a weekend and there is any kind of problem with your code then its nightmare place to stay as there are no staff available. My reservation code didn't arrive until the day before i travelled and it was wrong, thankfully i asked the hotel to resend it in French and then it made sense. If you arrive on a weekend or late evening make sure you are given 2 codes: ONE to obtain your room key and the other to get in the building. Also my room number was INCORRECT on the piece of paper that is generated by the machine outside the hotel when you arrive , you need to make sure you write down the number on the SCREEN of the machine to avoid problems. I also left a makeup bag behind when i left and it was impossible to get back mainly as communication with the hotel is very difficult.

My partner was the one that actually booked this "hotel", so it was a surprise to me that it was actually more like an apartment. With that said, we only had a change of bedding and towels during our stay--we stayed 12 days. But we had a stocked kitchenette which allowed us to make our own meals rather than having to go out to a crêperie--they are everywhere--for dinner. There is a grocery store (Carrefour Market) nearby right across from métro station Charles de Gaulle at the Rennes 3 Soleils. The sleeper sofa is very easy to transform from one to the other, and it is relatively comfortable--I woke up with no aches and pains. We had a balcony, but be careful if there is a storm and/or windy conditions as the partitions on the balconies make lots of thunderous noise that will keep you up all night--not fun. The location is excellent because it's located right next to the train & bus station, not to mention the métro station Gares. What we did was make this "hotel" our homebase and we took day-trips to Mont St-Michel, St-Malo, Nantes, and Vannes. All in all, this is a good apartment/hotel--you just have to keep in mind it's more like an apartment than a hotel.

This hotel is located right over the Gare de Rennes Rail Station in the heart o fhte city. So the availability of buses, cabs and trains is very smooth form here to any part of Rennes. But the rooms are very small. The ones with kitchen are planned well but very small and uncomfortable for long stays. The kitchen is unclean and the room service only picks up the garbage and prepares the bed, but does not clean the room / kitchen premises of your room. The washroom/restroom in the rooms do not have proper ventilation facilities. This hotel is bets for those who have to live for 2-3 days for business purposes. NOt recommended for long stays. The cost was average and not too expensive @ 50 EUR / night.
