I reckon there must be around 50 rooms. It’s used for conferences during the week so can be busy. Always seems quiet at weekends. I’ve had drinks (carafes of wine) from the reception but not eaten there as I’ve always eaten out. *Staff are excellent and always helpful. *Beds are super comfy with quality bedding *Quiet location *Parking *Tea/coffee making facilities are in the foyer so I TAKE MY OWN TRAVEL KETTLE *No fridge in the rooms If you’re going to Rennes on holiday I would probably choose a hotel in the centre. Having said that, this one is fine if you have a car and Rennes is easy to drive round. If you like swimming, try the Art Deco indoor pool in the centre. Even better are the 50m indoor and heated outdoor Bréquigny pools. Place des Lices market on Saturday morning - also a good place to go for car park, restaurants & medieval houses.

For a Budget Hotel, the staff are very helpful and pleasant, my (accessible) bedroom on the ground floor was perfect for me, with a large shower room - rooms were very clean and smelt really good. The restaurant serves a very good selection in its buffet breakfast and due to Covid, evening meals are served in the restaurant in glass jars from a traitor and are very tasty. I would recommend this hotel for business or leisure.

“A nice hotel”
This was a clean hotel in a quiet area. The bedroom was clean with a good functional bathroom. The breakfast was very good with a good selection. Public areas were small and there was a small bar area serving drinks and snacks were available.

The old town has lovely old buildings, mostly restaurants so great vibe

I wanted a hotel to be near my daughter in student accommodation. There really isn’t another hotel anywhere near so I had no choice. I have to stay there again in a few months time and I will take a kettle and a European plug adapter as there aren’t any USB ports in the room. There isn’t a kettle in the room but there is a machine for hot n cold water in reception- just be aware that it can be quite busy in the foyer area at times and so I felt a little uncomfortable making my drink! There isn’t a lift but the stairs were not steep. The bed was really comfortable and the duvet n pillows were super soft. The carpet/ Lino was very worn and needs replacing - I was glad I took my slippers! Shower was a French-style in-the-bath type so no super-luxury bathroom sorry! Room was quiet and private. It had a large window with a decent curtain and had an adjustable radiator. Smart flat-screen TV worked fine. So overall it was okay apart from the carpets and lack of kettle. The receptionists were really helpful and polite. They all speak several languages. Someone is on reception 24/7. You can buy drinks there and I had a pitcher of wine. They charge 13€ for breakfast which I didn’t have as I thought that was expensive for a basic hotel. I think the hotel is used for conferences during the day. Parking was right outside main entrance and it seemed to be safe.
