This begins with the reception whose layout should serve as an example and quite to the opposition of the usual Stalinist style in hotels, then by the rooms that are beautiful and excellent breakfast at pleasant times, for ending with the extreme kindness of ALL staff. The people in the service, the people at the reception, the people who are there at night... Thank you for all of this and thank you for your extraordinary flexibility.

“Great hotel!!”
Love, love this hotel! Quirky large rooms! The biggest fluffiest towels ever! Amazing location so near to everywhere!! You even get tea and cakes in the afternoon. Great customer service!! Near to the station as well. Montpellier is great. You must go to sete on the coast. Only 20 mins away.

“Excellent hotel”
The is hotel is lovely. It is in an excellent location. The rooms are well equipped and there is air con. The staff at the Royal are really friendly and helpful. There is a good breakfast. Highly recommend.

“Too much unecessary Noise”
I would have given this hôtel a 4 star (Very Good) rating if it were not for the unacceptable noise level on my street facing room. I would have given this hôtel a 4 star (Very Good) rating if it were not for the unacceptable noise level on my street facing room. The Booking clerk warned me, on Booking, that the street facing rooms were very noisy. So, I opted for a court yard room. Upon arrival when I saw that ground level court yard , it seemed very dark and stuffy. So, I opted for the street room. To be honest, I must sleep with an open window. Even though I was warned, I slept with the window slightly open. I did manage to fitfully sleep. What I later explained to the hôtel management was that the noise level COULD be managed despite the hôtel being on a main street. It was not the tram or pedestrian noise that was the problem. Instead, it was the extremely loud and argumentive voices of the food delivery bicycle delivery that congregate close to the entrance of the hôtel. The Hôtel Management CAN do some thing about this by explaining to the delivery works that it is not acceptable to be talking loadly, and even screaming at 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning !!! Allons, messieurs, un peu de courage !
