I can only give a middle score to this hotel. This is an old Mercure Hotel and the Best Mont Blanc Hotel Group website must be more honest when visitors are booking their stay at this hotel in the near future (Lykke is part of a larger group). The level of building work being carried out is considerable and, whilst they are rushing to finish the Spa within the next couple of months, the upgrades needed to the main building may well go on for some time. The "LYKKE" concept is still being applied to many of the rooms as the room we had appeared to be the same as when we stayed at this hotel site some years ago ( as part of Mercure/ACCOR - already feeling tired and dated ). I can't really figure out who this hotel is trying to appeal to. Many of the hotel features have a thin veneer of Disney about them - the LYKKE concept does seem confused and, as a result, unappealing to this writer. What is a "Slow Hotel"anyway? The catering and room cleaning were adequate, whilst many aspects of the service did lack attention to detail. Certainly not "the best". This is an old building and was part of the FranTour Group before becoming a Mercure Hotel (as part of the ACCOR Group) after a deal in 1999. It has needed an upgrade for years and the current owners seem to be struggling to modernise the infrastructure whilst still trying to stay open for visitors with their much needed revenue stream. Construction workers' vehicles currently litter the road outside the hotel during the working week and the underground car park, and part of the auxiliary car park in the block across the road, have become littered with construction workers' paraphernalia. The hotel might appeal to coach parties on whistle-stop tours around Europe who don't mind living out of a suitcase, but consider other options if a relaxed stay is your aim (at least for the rest of 2024).

“Lykke Hotel & Spa leaves a bit to be desired”

Stayed here for 7 days in May 2024. A bit surprised to find that a "spa" hotel does not have shampoo & conditioner (or hand cream as well) available in the showers/washroom. Stayed in a room with one queen bed and two single beds in a 2nd room which we pushed together for our son. The beds were comfortable. The room also does not have a bar fridge, so keeping anything cold requires the use of the balcony (weather dependent) or by filling a sink with ice from the bar downstairs. The staff are very helpful, friendly and accommodating... everyone we interacted with on the trip here was amazing at this hotel. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired, and surprisingly you can only use the coffee machines during breakfast in the lobby. They are turned off otherwise. Overall an 'average' experience, but expected a bit more.
