“great spot for a ski stay in Chamonix.”
We were part of a 30 plus group from Canada on a ski holiday. The office staff are extremely helpful and the cleaning staff are wonderful cleaning the room each day. We were part of a 30 plus group from Canada on a ski holiday. The office staff are extremely helpful and the cleaning staff are wonderful cleaning the room each day. The ski storage and boot room are great additions as is the spa and sauna. our room had a great view of the mountains and the location is wonderful with nearby grocery stores and coffee shops and restaurants. My only criticism would be the bed was too soft for my aging back.

This hotel is very well situated in the centre of the town in a quiet cul de sac. Many bars and cafes are close at hand and some excellent food is to be found. This hotel is very well situated in the centre of the town in a quiet cul de sac. Many bars and cafes are close at hand and some excellent food is to be found. It is only a short walk to the cable cars for Aguille du Midi and Brevent. The staff are very helpful and make certain you have everything you need. Room was comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. We would definitely revisit when we are next in the area. Highly recommended. P & L

“Post Christmas ski trip at a great little boutique hotel”
The service is excellent!!!! We arrived with a massive about of luggage. Also I was having breathing issues due to the altitude. Elsa (front desk) not only helped us with the 13 pieces of luggage, she helped us with parking and then learn about the area so we could get dinner. Extremely walkabl… more
The service is excellent!!!! We arrived with a massive about of luggage. Also I was having breathing issues due to the altitude. Elsa (front desk) not only helped us with the 13 pieces of luggage, she helped us with parking and then learn about the area so we could get dinner. Extremely walkable area and a map is provided. We booked a family room because we have teenagers. We thought we wanted ground floor but that room is bunks and more suited for small children. They put us in the top floor so the teens could have more space with twin beds. Perfect separated sleeping spaces. There is a ski storage with boot warmers. Also a hot tub and sauna. Robes are provided. The only thing I think we need is a better hair dryer because we all have long hair and the built in dryer is lightweight. They also offer a breakfast onsite for $15.

La Faucigny Hotel in Chamonix is an gem! The hotel is cozy and our room was clean, comfortable, and offered stunning views of the mountains—a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The location is ideal, right in the heart of Chamonix, close to shops, restaurants, and all the main attractions. The breakfast was delightful, offering a fresh, tasty selection to start the day, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing excellent recommendations and always ensuring we had everything we needed. The spa area was a nice bonus, perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking or skiing. Overall, La Faucigny offers great value for money, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Chamonix—can't wait to return!

Pleasant small hotel in central position. Good value for money and I’d say 3 star is warranted and we would stay again. Pros: *Nice breakfast - small buffet but nicely done *Pleasant staff *Modern boutique feel *Massive hot tub - nice and warm no need to book (small sauna also) *Boot room modern and warm *right in centre of town near bars and restaurants *coffee making in room There are some drawbacks which others have mentioned. These are as a consequence of this being an old building, not massive issues but things to be aware of: *no lift/narrow stairs. Bit of struggle getting heavy bags up *rooms on 2nd floor are in the roof space so no views only velux windows *room was small, but not overly. Our room actually had a mezzanine with 2 kids beds up there, but this was up a v steep ladder/stairs. Not sure I’d want my kids using it *bathroom v compact. Shower cubical v small, but of a struggle as a tall person * could benefit from a few hooks or rail near heater to dry kit *we were woken at 5am one morning by a delivery to the adjacent shop, but this is price you pay for being in town As I say none of these issues were major or unexpected, I only mention them as they might be a problem for some people.
