We arrived in the evening to a warm welcome and everything about the hotel was explained to us, along with the offer of any assistance we needed with sightseeing/hikes etc. The rooms are lovely and cosy (always warm and smell lovely). The view from our balcony was stunning. We booked half board and both the breakfasts and evening meal were fabulous, and all the staff we encountered were friendly and spoke good English.

Firstly I have to commend this hotel for their efforts in wanting to give guests a great experience. In all the hotels we have stayed at all over the world, this is the first hotel that has ever sent a pre-stay survey to find out about your reasons for staying and to offer any additional services say if you are celebrating something special. This is excellent. The information about the area pre-stay was also very useful and it helped us to plan our visit a lot. On arrival we were met with the warmest of welcomes. Every member of the reception team we encountered were excellent, spoke good English and were very helpful with giving advice and recommendations. We were also given a ticket for the local train that runs through the valley, which allowed us to travel for free. We had a standard room which was clearly well used but was clean and comfortable. We were put right next to the lift and was concerned we might get bothered by noise but the rooms are fairly sound proofed. There are black out curtains too. There is no air conditioning in the rooms and we were blessed with incredibly warm weather at the weekend and so the room in all honestly got hot. Too hot to sleep comfortably however because we had a balcony and was on the 4th floor we could safely sleep with the balcony door open at night which made the temperature bearable. There is however heating which I suppose would be more important come the winter! There was an in room safe but no fridge which was surprising for a hotel of this class. The view from the room of Mount Blanc we had was incredible and something that will be remembered for a long time. We parked at the hotel which was €30 per night and is only slightly more expensive than some of the local public car parking but is more secure at the hotel’s inside and secured lot. The Spa is an added bonus to this hotel but is run independently. Guests get free access but at peak times access is restricted and needs to be booked. It is somewhat of a small space for the size of the hotel and with 10 or so people in, it felt crowded. Location was perfect. Close enough to walk to everything but just far enough not to be bothered by the hustle and bustle of the town centre. We came as a couple but are already thinking about visiting Cham’ next year, but bringing our teenaged children next time. Based on our experience, we would absolutely stay again and have no problems in recommending.

The location is good, hotel staff are very friendly, the rooms are good and the beds comfortable. However there are a few things that need to be improved. Firstly the quality of the breakfast buffet. The ingredients are not of high quality, the hot food was barely lukewarm and not appealing/ edible. Bakery items are ok . Secondly the hot tub in the spa is luke warm and will only fit 4 adults maximum. You also have to book a slot each day to use the spa which is understandable as it can’t accommodate all guests. Lastly the lifts smell strongly of fish in the evenings. This wafts through from the evening buffet.
