Our second stay at Imperial Palace Annecy this year. We loved it so much that we booked again for Christmas and it feels a little like home. Everything was just as good the second time which I think says a lot about a hotel. The staff are all so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Everyone we came into contact with were just lovely especially as the hotel was so busy, nothing was too much trouble. We loved sitting in the bar in the afternoons playing cards and we love that you can get a bite to eat whilst you do this at any time. One thing I will say is the bar gets so busy this time of year I would definitely recommend getting your space early! The restaurant food - delicious as it was in March and I appreciated the change in menu from earlier on this year. Oh my and the buffet breakfast is literally the best breakfast options we have ever seen and were sad we only managed to get down for breakfast on our last day. Room was lovely - we stayed in 503 I did think that next time I need to remember to try and ask for a corner room looking out to the lake but actually it was so foggy whilst we were there the view would have been wasted so a partial lake view this time of year was more than adequate. If anyone is visiting Annecy I would 100% recommend this hotel and in fact we are looking at when we can next visit. Maybe next Christmas!

Beautiful hotel, excellent situation next to the Lac Annecy. Reception staff and concierge really great. Our room was a junior suite on 8th floor with a great view of the lake. The room was really cold when we arrived which was quickly sorted out with a plug in heater. The beds are the really comfortable. Negatives are the breakfast service. We were seated in the corner and it took at least 25 minutes to get a coffee and I had to track someone down to take our order. The food eventually arrived (mine with trout I didn't ask for) and both dishes were cold. The hot dishes on the buffet were also cold and congealed. Really disappointing service and food. We had one coffee and left. The spa is by reservation for a one hour slot and is beautiful. Note that the water in the small pool and jacuzzi area is also less than body temp and it feels really cold after 5 mins. For 600 eurs for one night, we wish we had gone elsewhere.

An expensive room including half board, where you would expect to be able to enjoy dinner. This was not the case in hotel Imperial Palace. Half board was arranged through a standard menu (meat burger, Caesar salad, pasta, veggi) and not explained upfront in the booking. Meat and fish main courses were organized through supplements per course, a shame! Never seen such a way of working. The total price of our stay was far too expensive if you consider the dinners we've had.
