I want to thank the staff at Hotel Novel who made my trip very enjoyable and relaxing. As I was taking a French exam during my stay, this was some achievement :) I found the price very reasonable, the rooms clean and well maintained and the food selection at breakfast and dinner very good. In my 3 days, I had dinner at the hotel restaurant every night. It is nice to have an outside terrace in front and back of the hotel. I think being a family-run hotel, the feeling was very warm and welcoming. A special mention for Alexandre for his super service !!

My stay was booked on my behalf by Animation South Africa, with whom I traveled here for the annual animation festival. I spent a week and really enjoyed my stay. It is satisfyingly French, and I thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the owners and staff with my rather terrible French, and they both treated me with great friendliness and hospitality in a way one doesn’t find in large, impersonal ‘famous name‘ hotels. It is a family hotel with an endearing quirkiness. The beds are absolute bliss and the food is wonderful. The owner is Italian and the charcuterie platter and delicious bread he provided when I arrived, famished after a long day, served by the charming and helpful Claire, was a treat I will long remember. The kitchen was closed at that late hour but they made a plan. I would like to stay here again. There is a bus service running into the town center, close by which is a big bonus. The walk to the lake is very pleasant though. The rooms are spotless and the cleaning staff really go out of their way to help as well. Thank you, everyone at Hotel Novel. I will remember you very fondly.

I arrived very late after the restaurant closed and the reception staff managed to make me a very welcome ham and cheese sandwich.

Ok hotel, no more. Rooms are fairly clean and the restaurant is ok. Nice staff It is situated in the outskirt of Annecy about 15-20 min from the top of the lake, where you can do the nicest walks and also reach Annecy center, which is a really nice old town. Ok hotel, no more. Rooms are fairly clean and the restaurant is ok. Nice staff It is situated in the outskirt of Annecy about 15-20 min from the top of the lake, where you can do the nicest walks and also reach Annecy center, which is a really nice old town. You can park for free by the hotel. I was looking for cycling around the lake and the nearby very small shop offered me one bike, which was way too big, but this was the option. Take it or leave it, so I did and had the nicest tour around the lake, but the bike was no good. I could see many other rentals elsewhere, but too late.
