This is a lovely small hotel, clearly independently run and all the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. It is not your usual chain type hotel and was very nice to have a personal touch. Our room (lake facing with balcony) was lovely and all we could need for our 2 night stay. Very comfortable bed and beautiful bathroom. The view of the lake is lovely and can be seen from the room. I would recommend the hotel and definitely stay again. It’s a nice walk along the lake to Annecy old town and a really good location for cycling, the cycle path is at the bottom of the road. Swimming is permitted in the lake approximately 5 min walk. Overall a really good location, peaceful and out of town enough but accessible to most things. Highly recommended

“Quirky, clean and comfortable”

We booked this at the last minute and it was a great find. It’s about a fifteen minute walk from Vieux Annecy, just down a little hill and alongside the Lake. From the outside, it looked a little weatherbeaten, but inside was immaculate - everywhere was extremely clean. Very welcoming and friendly Reception. Our room was fine, not big but very comfortable and very clean with what was clearly a new bathroom. We had a glimpsed view from our window of the Lake. The breakfast was very ample, including a self-cook option for local eggs! The hotel’s situated off the main road that winds around the Lake - and being set off the road, means you have virtually no road noise; just the sound of birds tweeting! The hill is a little steep but there is parking both in front of the hotel for drop-off and a little parking area just off the side below the hotel. We would definitely recommend. My only suggestion would be a kettle/tea-coffee making facilities.

Very nice hotel had a great view over the lake from my balcony. Very boutique feel to the room and the decor and probably the best shower I’ve encountered. They lady on the reception was very bubbly and helpful and answered all the questions I had. Free water in the room is a nice touch but I found the bar to be a bit expensive. All in all nice stop in a pretty location

“Faulty sanitation towers”

The location is the best thing about this hotel particularly if you want to swim in the lake (5 mins away) and if you want to be slightly out of the bustle (Annecy was really really busy in the second week of September). it is a lovely walk into town. The location is the best thing about this hotel particularly if you want to swim in the lake (5 mins away) and if you want to be slightly out of the bustle (Annecy was really really busy in the second week of September). it is a lovely walk into town. If you have a nice room, it will be great. But if you have a room where you have to operate the toilet yourself and there is mould in the shower and a constant drains smell, you might not be so enthusiastic. Particularly when the manager comes to demonstrate the manual toilet operation (again) and says you should be grateful, be showing good will and this isn't the worst room anyway...you may well wish you had been forewarned so you could have booked somewhere more hospitable.
