“Good Location and Value for Money”
Although the French star system is different to the UK, I would consider it equivalent to a 3 star. Although the French star system is different to the UK, I would consider it equivalent to a 3 star. My single room had two beds with ensuite and was clean, adequate with tv and tall windows that opened to the Boulevard. The hotel serves b&b and evening meal. Note; the evening meal is a set meal and the choice is for meat-eaters - no fish and certainly not suitable for vegetarians. However, the Le Navarre bistro, just minutes down the road, will suit. The hotel has a well stocked bar and small reception. Cafes are not open early so if you require breakfast prior to 9am I suggest you eat at hotel. From 7am a good cold set breakfast of croissant with butter and jam, small pot of coffee, small jug fresh orange, slices of ham and cheese, french bread and yogurt . (Sets you up for the day) The location is great, especially if you are on pilgrimage - turn left and within five minutes straight walk you are at St Michel's Gate - the entrance to the shrine. Located in the middle of tourist shopping with an ATM is practically opposite the hotel.

“A Quick Night”
Had booked in for four nights but due to the Lockdown they had to close the next day. They were very friendly and thoughtful, waiting for my late arrival, around 9.30pm. Everything was excellent considering there was no catering due to the Lockdown.

We picked a hotel for budget and thats what we got, the place was clean but old, a coat of paint throughout would make a big difference. We picked a hotel for budget and thats what we got, the place was clean but old, a coat of paint throughout would make a big difference. No air con. we booked bed and brakfast, breakfast was served to you tea/coffee, oj, crossent, half a crusty roll a slice of ham, a half a slice of cheese and a natural yogurt. Hotel at top of hill directly up from St Michaels gate not to bad a hill but would be tough to push a wheelchair up. small foyer/bar in front of hotel where you could sit and have a drink. we were unable to eat in this hotel as we had not booked in advance which was a pity as food looked good.Man on breakfast duty and girl on reception/breakfast were very nice, limited englih spoken. the lady cleaning our rooms had a hard job in the heat but she did a good job. site said it was a 10 min walk to sanctuary but it was less than 5 mins . only one elec socket in bedroom and one in bathroom. There is a lift but also a few steps to some rooms so if this is an issue let hem know in advance.I would stay here again as i said old but clean, but on a budget not the worst.
