“Summeri vacation”
Superb service, nice and cozy rooms. Everything works as it should, and maybe little more. Hotel is at the centre, and everything is near. Very nice city! We got room with balcony to the street and it was a little suprise. At warm weather it was nice to watch city from the balcony.

We stayed here while in Joensuu for the Biathlon World Cup in nearby Kontiolahti. On some of the other reviews, there were comments about the lack of character. Quite recently renovated: clean with pristine floor,walls etc. And for once a proper ceiling light. You actually see in the room! Smart tv. Watered down disappointing breakfast coffee and juices. “Standard Sokos Hotel”
Your standard Sokos Hotels in good and bad. No personality, could be anywhere in Finland but functioning and with an excellent location. Decently priced parking available. Service was quite efficient and friendly and the breakfast was OK.

“Decent hotel”
Basic hotel at the centrum of Joensuu. Rooms, I had superior, are fine. Common sauna is in bad shape, lockers have issues with locks and how to store key, sauna and Jacuzzis are worned and needs renewal. Gym is not worth of mentioning, three devices..
