Loved my stay here, felt very safe and secure as a solo traveler. I felt like the staff looked out for me with care. A few names that I remembered but I’m forgetting some: Mohamed Ezzat, Yasin, Bakr, Abdelrahman, and the very sweet girl at breakfast! I hope to stay here again! The rooms are gorgeous as well. Smells lovely, clean and welcoming. Thank you to the entire staff!!

I have given The Waldorf Cairo 5 stars simply because it was a very unusual stay that failed in some areas but was simply exceptional in other areas. I did not know what to make of it really. The hotel is simply stunning and looks almost futuristic when you approach it looks really out of place to the surrounding area. The hotel has an ultra luxury feel with Palm Trees in the lobby glass dome roof and marble floors and deep pile carpets. Our suite was stunning and beautifully decorated and felt very comfortable. The swimming pool did not have many sun beds ( probably less than 30 ) but it was generally very quiet around the pool and we never struggled to get two beds together. Breakfast was hit and miss, the first day it was a total disaster, cold tea, no salt or pepper on table, tea arrived without milk, i found a hair in food, service very slow with plates not cleared. When i complained rhe staff went above and beyond, every morning salt and pepper were brought to table, tea arrived with warm milk, i was brought a cushion for my back, we were brought pancakes with chocolate love hearts, absolutely exceptional experience. Also had issues in Rossetta club with no staff present for long periods as usually no other guests in the lounge, it took ages to get a drink with no glasses available for soft drinks, no tea pots out to make our own tea. First few days we waited over an hour for foof. Again when i complained the staff were simply amazing, the head chef came over and personally apologised and arranged a full buffet dinner for us, Mohammed in the lounge was a gem, he could not do enough and was a real credit to the hotel, he genuinely felt awful at our Rosetta club experience and treated us like VIPs. We also had issues with housekeeping and other things, when i went to see manager at the front desk i found her rude and condescending and i left quite upset but then we had a knock at the door of our suite and received a huge bowl of fruit, a box of dates, a tray of chocolates and a large chocolate cake, WOW ! The pool guys even gave us two towels each, bought us ice water and fruit skewers and rolled a third towel up for us to use as a neck rest… It was a very unusual stay that was not without issues but the staff genuinely seemed to care when i complained and they simply went above and beyond anything i had ever experienced at any hotel ever and i have stayed at hundreds of hotels. We actually felt quite embarrassed at the ViP treatment that was extended to us, we felt like royalty.and we did not want to leave 😊 If the hotel can sort out logistical errors and issues it would be exceptional. Thank you for looking after us so well and making us feel very special.
