I always enjoy staying at this hotel. The location on the Nile is uniquely beautiful. In addition to the great hospitality, the breakfast is excellent, and the food in the restaurants is outstanding. I had breakfast in the Lounge on the 16th floor, where the excellent team includes Mr. Mohamed, Yasser, Doaa, and Reda. During happy hour, Tamer and Mahmoud were professional and attentive. My favorite place to sit in the evening is "Window on the Nile." The warm welcome, great hospitality, and professionalism of Samuel and Riadd are indescribable. Wishes are understood almost without words. Many thanks to you all! I am looking forward to my next visit.

Two stays (2 & 4 nights) either side of a the Nile cruise. Overall stay was acceptable but disappointing. Two stays (2 & 4 nights) either side of a the Nile cruise. Overall stay was acceptable but disappointing. Being a gold member had no real value as you are treated like any other guest and the hotel is shamefully cheap on the loyalty benefits. An example is for the loyalty complimentary drinks. There were 5 of us and they only offered drinks for a maximum 3 ppl on the first stay and 4 ppl on the second. No explanation given other than "this is our policy" which made no sense. Furthermore, there was no "guaranteed rooms" or "upgrade" offered. No explanation was provided. On the second stay we were on a lower floor (12th floor) with connecting rooms although we were staying in higher 22nd floor and better rooms with better views on the first stay. The rooms were acceptable. Reasonably clean, although there was hair in one the bathroom basins. The carpets are old and grubby. The bathrooms are small and have no bidet or wall mounted hose. Also, no real hooks to hang clothes. No qibla direction or prayer mats in rooms, even though a muslim country. Complimentary fruits and sweets were provided. One room's safe was broken. Cracked tile in one bathroom. They longer do separate boutique wash, shampoo, conditioner and lotion bottles, instead they do refillable wall mounted bottles. A bit cheap for a 5 star premium hotel, although I do not mind as it is probably better for the environment. Although service was good throughout, the check In and check out process took forever with long waits. They are polite but spend so much time clicking stuff on their computers at reception. Very slow process even though people were courteous. Once the desk manager came up to enquire about our stay while I was waiting in the queue to check out. I had hoped she would help to expedite the process, but alas nothing of the sort. The shout-out for exceptional service would have to go to Tamir in the 16th floor club room. The best thing was the hotel breakfast in the Sud restaurant. Large and varied spread. The Kabebgy restaurant was ok but probably a bit overrated. The Club room offered very limited foods but was good for drinks. When i wanted to have reward points collected for the restaurants, there systems were always down and they had no other way to process the rewards on food etc. I keep wondering whether membership and use Accor (or Hyatt) is worth it. People seem to have much better choice and benefits with Marriot and Hilton. This needs some careful consideration.
