I am a Hilton Diamond member for many years, so I know Hilton Hotels , CONRAD did not fail to impress, Great rooms over looking the Nile , super staff ready to help , one of the best located exec lounges around, balcony on the 22nd floor with breathtaking views, city center , hotel location means easy access to all Cairo sites, amazing breakfast and Jayda Nile Terrace for dinner . Pool area very easy to relex. if your going to Cairo on business or holiday , stay here !!!!

“Great luxury bang for your buck in Cairo!”

First of all, the Conrad in Cairo had one of THE best hotel beds I’ve ever slept on (& all of our group of 12 people agree with that). The rooms were also well-appointed and overall, the hotel property was pretty nice (if not necessarily as nice as some of the newer Conrad properties in other countries). Due to my Hilton Honors status, we had access to the Executive Lounge and free breakfast downstairs on the second floor. Service was a little hit or miss (hence the 4 stars) depending on the day and who was working, but Mustafa in the Lounge was awesome and super helpful, going above and beyond to accommodate our group. We also had dinner one night at the Kamala (pan-asian cuisine) restaurant and the food was surprisingly excellent (this coming from a group of 12 south asian people). One thing to note: apparently come Jan 1, 2025 this hotel will no longer be under the Hilton-Conrad branding / umbrella for unknown reasons so not sure what may change or not in the future.

Check in and checkout efficient. Hotel clean, pleasant aroma throughout Housekeeping responsive and generous. They always give you more than you request. Very good amenities, slippers, robe, dental kit plus standard supplies. Plenty of complimentary water. Towels plush but show signs of wear and tear. Bathroom clean, shower head clean only minimal evidence of mold at bottom of shower door. Shower not large but adequate. Rain shower head, water saver water pressure. Linens fresh and clean, no heavy bleach smell. Bed comfortable. Minimal street noise. Large variety for breakfast. Safe available in the room. Dinner restaurant options, staff eager to serve. Great views of Nile and sunset or sunrise.

First, the abysmal. This applies to reception staff, housekeeping and concierge services. 1. RECEPTION We were one of three couples who checked into the hotel early in the morning after our flight was delayed from Heathrow. At the time, we did not realise that the reception staff assumed that as we checked in at the same time, we were all together, and consequently, anything ordered during our stay, regardless of which room that person was staying in, was indiscriminately charged to any of the three rooms. This resulted in total confusion when we checked out as we had multiple bills from other guests charged to our room. Reception staff flat-out refused to make any corrections, and it took a supervisor, then a duty manager, then our guide to eventually resolve the situation. There was no apology, and no admission of their error. (Incidentally, this seems to be common in Egypt as the same mistake was made by reception staff at another hotel during our stay in Hurghada.) 2. HOUSEKEEPING The room had not been cleaned properly, this especially applied to the bathroom and it took multiple calls to housekeeping to get this resolved. There was no remote control for the TV, and no robes provided. Again it took multiple attempts to have these missing items provided. 3. CONCIERGE Staff on the concierge desk were rude and unhelpful when we were trying to resolve the above issues, and consequently of no use whatsoever. Once again, no apology. OK, on to the amazing. This applies to the standard of catering, which for breakfast and dinner ( we did not take lunch at the hotel) was first rate, with a vast choice for breakfast and very attentive and friendly staff. Staff at the pool area were also very good, always helpful and friendly. The Jayda Nile Terrace offering Egyptian-Lebanese cuisine was amazing for dinner. Superb service, mouthwatering flavours, and a wonderfully chilled and tastefully decorated atmosphere. A special mention goes to... Ibrahem Hassan, manager, Ahmed Abdelkady, supervisor, and the two Mohameds and Seham, servers. (I hope I've got those spellings correct!) Thank you for a great experience in your lovely restaurant. If only the rest of the hotel was as wonderful, it would be perfect!
