I stayed here twice, each end of a Nile River cruise. My first visit was for one night and I spent most of my time asleep. However, my room was large and very well equipped. It had all the amenities of a large branded hotel. On my second visit I was allocated a room next door to my first visited room. It was of equal size but had a most enormous bed although I was unable to take advantage of its capability of accommodating 3-4 people! The good sized TV enabled me to watch my go-to choice whilst on holiday, namely BBC World News. However, had I wished I could have chosen from every imaginable sports channel and even some sports of which I was fortunately unfamiliar. There were several restaurants but I only used the main buffet style restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. For both, there was a reasonable choice of well presented food. The staff are observant and very competent. There are tables both in and outside. There are ATM’s, swimming pool, sun bathing areas, loungers, outdoor bars and , I’m sure, many other facilities undiscovered by myself. The huge foyer is reminiscent of long forgotten colonial style past! Don’t think you will be permitted to even touch your own luggage; it will be expertly handled by the concierge staff! On my first visit I carelessly and foolishly left my insulin in the room’s refrigerator. Within 30 minutes of being in my room there was knock on the door. On opening I found a bellboy holding my insulin! That is exceptional service for you (well, for me, really.) I certainly recommend this excellent hotel!
