We stopped here as a midway point between LEGOLAND and Copenhagen for two nights. I would say that is enough to see the local area for anyone who has never visited before. The hotel is a grand ‘old’ hotel. Clearly with age comes some signs of wear but I wouldn’t say anything overly worrying. A new hotel might suit some people better but you have to accept what a hotel is when you book it. The hotel has a lot of character and is near the train station and a short walk to the town. There is some parking but if you arrive late expect to park across the road for around 125kr for 24 hours. I liked this hotel, the breakfast has a good selection, the staff were friendly and helpful and the location was good. You will hear road noise and Odense seems to be full of hen/ stag parties so be ware of them. (I had no idea not being from Denmark that it is a stag and hen party destination). If travelling by train this is a perfect stopping point.

Great staff, as my booking by Agoda was for a Standard Double but Agoda had sent a booking for a Single Room to the hotel instead. The reception staff were very helpful to find a resolution for me The location was great, walking distance to many sights in Odense and also a tram stop is just a couple of mins walk away too Breakfast was adequate and filling. The room was spacious and water pressure could be better. Bedding and pillows were comfortable

I booked rather late to stay for an event in Odense, so many hotels were already full. I only stayed one night and didn't have much time, so I wanted to stay near the railway station. The location was the biggest advantage of this hotel; you can't get much more central. The style of the hotel is traditional, and in a way quite nice. I asked for a quiet room and got one upstairs. I think the window didn't close properly, so it was a bit cold in the night and I heard some noise from outside. My room was rather small, which was not a problem. The bathroom had been renovated, but still it was not very practical. The shower was almost next to the door, and the whole bathroom become wet, and they didn't even provide a towel for drying the feet. The breakfast was rather average. Enough food but nothing special.

Modest and quiet rooms. Very modest breakfast. Good location near the train station and the shopping centre. Shops close very early. Nice looking lobby and friendly staff. Coffee and cake free in the afternoons. The rooms were very dark so if you are planning to do make-up you better bring your own… more

Modest and quiet rooms. Very modest breakfast. Good location near the train station and the shopping centre. Shops close very early. Nice looking lobby and friendly staff. Coffee and cake free in the afternoons. The rooms were very dark so if you are planning to do make-up you better bring your own flashlight with you. No place for luggage in the rooms except the floor. No recycling in the rooms for the garbge.
