The lobby on entering is very well kept and professional looking including a business area and bar. Unfortunately when you get to the room lobby and room (superior) there are some stains and smells. We had to change one of the rooms as the smell was too bad considering this is supposed to be a decent hotel. Cleanliness throughout was great apart from a heavily stained shower. The luxury upgrade gets you 2 wash rooms, one with a shower and toilet and another with a bath and a sink big enough to bath a baby in. Also enough room to suit someone with claustrophobia, a table and sofa potentially suitable for a small child to sleep on. These are not things that make a room superior for me and I personally think it would be better as a family room with a pull out bed settee. It also needs usb sockets for international travellers. You are given lemon green tea and coffee, but as a Brit I wanted tea, sugar and UHT milk. This would have been better as a choice at reception on arrival. Also the bath has a shower, do I really need another separate shower in another room? I would take a small fridge and a lot less wasted room. The breakfast hall is an entire floor. Pretty impressive selection of scrambled egg, bacon, red sausages?, beans that will suit most Brits and then you have yogurts, breads including custard strudel and Danish pastry, fresh juices, the tea selection you with was on reception when checking in, coffee machine, jams, cereals and limited fresh fruit. Under the right management this hotel could be a 5* very easily, unfortunately someone doesn't have their finger on the pulse of what I wanted.

One night stay in Aalborg. Another visit in this lovely city. This time I stayed at Comwell. Check in was smooth and fast. My room was on 4th floor facing the park behind the hotel. My colleague got the next room so our similar experiences were shared during breakfast next morning. The very little noise from traffic was not an issue, only when emergency vehicles came by it was noticed. The big room I got was nice but not extraordinary in any way. It was big, clean and had all I needed. Now breakfast. I was very surprised by the breakfast here. It is very very good. Eggs prepared as you wish, everything for continental breakfast, fantastic juice, well baked bread, good coffee and much more. A very pleasant way to start the day. Check out was also very smooth and easy. Now I know where to go when visiting Aalborg again.

The hotel is centrally located by the road, with good parking. Short distance to the center and nice parks. The hotel is centrally located by the road, with good parking. Short distance to the center and nice parks. The hotel lobby was large and welcoming and the hosts were very helpful and pleasant at the reception. The restaurant was closed on Sundays and you had to eat snacks in the bar. It was not possible to get any vegetarian dishes. Electric car charging was possible in the car park, but it only worked for a few minutes. The cleanliness of the room was not quite top notch.

Feel there was more time spent on interior design than comfort of guests. No phone in room to connect to hotel staff for questions and I was on 9th floor. Feel there was more time spent on interior design than comfort of guests. No phone in room to connect to hotel staff for questions and I was on 9th floor. Only 2 lifts for whole hotel so can get a little busy. No a/c in rooms or the gym. Balcony goes all around building, i.e not private, which felt a little unsafe. Only 2 very soft pillows in room - one each - which felt inadequate. Wifi kept pausing and streaming to TV didn't work because of low quality WiFi - very few TV channels - especially if you're not Scandinavian. Very noisy in bar and restaurant area. Very nice hotel staff. Location good and close to boulevard. Clean.
