I use Hotel Engine, which is kind of like a Priceline or hotels.com site but is private for members who get it through their employer as a benefit. It has better prices than the other ope-to-the-public sites, by about 5 to 10 percent. So I got a very good price on this which made it worthwhile; had I paid what those other sites were asking it would have been less of a good value. This was a very good hotel, but not luxury by any means. It strongly reminds me of the Freehand hotels, it is old and has some beautiful old style, has a lot of room in a big building, but the rooms and accommodations are closer to a hostel than a hotel. That's not necessarily a bad thing or good thing, it's just how this place is. I enjoyed my stay here. The location: heart of the red-light district. Don't be put off by that - the red light district in Copenhagen is a few overpriced, rip-off Strip clubs that seem to have almost no customers, a bunch of bars and eateries (mostly burgers, shawarma, street food type stuff). It felt rather safe although with the occasional revelers that you kinda watch out of the corner of your eye. There were street prostitutes; it took me a couple days to realize that's what they were. One was stationed right outside this hotel for my whole 5-day stay. I was saying hi and bye to her because I saw her so often; one time she propositioned me and then I figured it out. But she didn't look like a prostitute - she was not very attractive and she dressed very, very plainly. So did the other prostitutes (2 of them) that I saw. I would not have figured them to be prostitutes. Anyway, the room in this hotel was tiny. It was fine for one person, I would have struggled with even one more person, even someone I'm intimate with. The bed was fine, comfortable. It was kidn of on the cheap side but everything was functional and served me well. The bathroom has a shower stall and the floor of the bathroom is not separated from the shower floor so some of the water flows out towards the area in front of the toilet - not too bad though honestly. They give you 2 towels only, which normally is fine for me but in this case I needed one for the floor in front of the toilet as there was no bath mat. Not a huge deal. Check-in was great, the staff were great all around, very nice, friendly, helpful, albeit not super polished but who cares, really - they were good. It was easy to walk to with bags from the Central Train Station - the sidewalks and streets are all cobblestones, brick, etc. but they have strips of smooth stone that you can roll your luggage on. I did this and all week saw many others do it - it's only 2 blocks so while it's a pain it's not that hard, within 10 minutes if you take your time, easy. I would stay here again but the price needs to be lower than other hotels which, from pictures, appear to have bigger rooms and are a bit more hotel-like and less hostel-like. This place had a lot of young people (I'm 55 and stuck out, although saw a few others my age range, most were noticeably in their 20's or 30's) - the age range didn't bother me at all but I'm just informing you. Yes, this is a very solid choice, watch the price though because they would be overcharging if they're higher than most of the neighboring hotels, but if you get it for less than the others in this neighborhood I'd say it's worth it for sure. Thank you Zleep hotel, I will probably stay here again. And Copenhagen was WONDERFUL and the location of this place I could walk to all the best things Copenhagen had to offer - so I have fond, fond memories of this Zleep hotel and I recommend it as long as you're aware what it's like and it meets your needs. ALSO - even though things in the room felt kind of cheap, they felt useful and adequate, and the room and everything in it were very CLEAN as was the rest of the hotel - hallways, lobby, etc. all kept neat and clean, all the time, so cleanliness here was great.

“Fifth floor needs to be refurbished”

I was on the fifth floor and the room did not look at all like the pictures on Booking. It looked really old and worn out, same in the corridor. The lights close to the bed did not function.But at least it was clean and the employees were super nice.
