I had a very pleasant stay at The Huxley on my recent trip to Copenhagen. I had four nights staying in one of their Economy Rooms. This was very small but I was aware of this from their website. Despite the size it had everything I needed and it was spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was very good and the free wi-fi worked fine. My room 401 was at the back of the hotel so whilst there was no view it was very quiet aside from some birdsong early in the morning but that wasn't really a problem. The breakfast served from 7am was very good with plenty of choice including bacon, scrambled eggs, sausages, beans plus fruit, cereals, cooked meats, cheese etc. All the staff I encountered were very friendly. The location is great being a short walk from Nyhavn and also just a five minutes stroll from Kongens Nytorv metro station which is about fifteen minutes away from the airport. I would defintely stay here again should I return to Copenhagen!

“Go for larger room if you can, good location”

The staff are all wonderful at this boutique hotel and very responsive to email questions; they are terrific. It is a half-hour walk from the train station but the bus at the corner is very convenient for getting to the station and that part of Copenhagen. We walked nearly everywhere for our tourist attractions so the location is very good. It is on a quiet street near the Nyhavn waterfront but rooms on the street would hear bar music and people noise. Our room faced the courtyard and with windows open you can hear people's conversations until midnight or so, but is nice and quiet thereafter. The 2nd floor hallway flooring was so squeaky that we thought people were in our room when they walked by, which was startling when some loud guests walked by at 2:30 am. They have an awesome breakfast that is an extra charge that can be added to the room quote. You check in on arrival so they mark off your room number. The bed was very hard and it took until the second night to get our bodies to settle in comfortably. It is very easy to bang your knees on the metal bed frame and we wrapped the corners with pieces of clothing to protect us enroute to the bathroom or the desk area. There is adequate storage for a multi-night stay, but we did pay more to get more space for a 5-night stay, since the regular rooms would have been claustrophobic for two of us. They did provide small bottles of free water each day, a nice touch. It turned out to be the most costly of our 6 hotels on our Nordic tour, but Copenhagen is not a cheap city.

2 night stay in economy room. - exceptional and flexible pre arrival communication to my request for changes to booking and notification of royal run affecting traffic/access to hotel - compact room without a/c but had window that opened and a fan - free bottled water, well equipped room - 5 min walk to metro that also connects to airport - central location - breakfast was disorganised and understaffed. Choices were limited. - had construction next door but no noises heard Has potential for greatness with improvements to on-site staffing and organisation. Would stay again.

“Convenient location, disappointing room.”

The best thing about this hotel is the location; very central, so easy to walk to all main sights. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean and quiet. But the room was tiny and claustrophobic. The bed was pushed against a wall so no room around the bed. No bedside tab... more

The best thing about this hotel is the location; very central, so easy to walk to all main sights. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean and quiet. But the room was tiny and claustrophobic. The bed was pushed against a wall so no room around the bed. No bedside tables. Even with a fan, the room was uncomfortably hot.
