We enjoyed our stay at Skt Petri. The front desk staff were helpful in providing recommendations for sites and restaurants. Plus they were willing to make dining and taxi reservations and handled those very quickly. The rooms were spacious and pleasant. Ours had a nice view overlooking the University library. Our pillows and beds were comfortable. We would definitely recommend visiting this hotel!

“Good but definitely some issues”

The location of this hotel can’t be beat and is central to everything in Copenhagen. I do have to say the construction was annoying and the half of the amenities were out of commission but of course the expensive nightly rate certainly didn’t reflect the lack of amenities available. Breakfast was good and had multiple options. It would’ve been nice to have a night at the hotel restaurant or bar but that wasn’t gonna happen. The elevators also were quite cramped and when we were in the elevator with two other people it did lurch at one point, didn’t move and made a final destination esque noise that was not promising. Stairs didn’t really seem to be an option though with the construction? Also it really needs to be mentioned that the parking situation was frustrating. We weren’t sure where the “nearby” parking garage was and we parked in front of the hotel (which mind you had other cars parked there) and we were promptly chided by the receptionist for parking there and while she put in the lot address into our phone without much else information and told us to to move the car. Ok thanks for your help. The directions took us through a pedestrian filled street that I don’t think we were supposed to drive through and would’ve been helpful to let us know hey, make sure you don’t go in this street so you don’t end up locked up abroad after potentially hitting a pedestrian while being completely lost looking for the random parking lot which frankly was not very close. Do not bother with a rental car if you are staying here. For the price per night maybe a suggested route or like a map would’ve helped to get to the lot but she was far more concerned about getting us out of the parking area in front of the hotel IMMEDIATELY. We couldn’t be the only one who’s been in that situation. So it wasn’t a great start and I felt the receptionist was frankly not as friendly or as helpful as I would’ve expected for a high end pricey hotel. In fact I feel like the reception staff was pretty average based on what I would expect from the price per night. The room itself was quite nice but not super memorable. It did have a decent view and the air conditioning was like a gift from above and a beautiful respite from the hot hot August heat. The always open coffee machine and water was nice to have. So a 5 for the location, 5 for the wonderful AC, 4 for the room, 3 for the service and value for the price and 2 for the lack of amenities and the noisy construction. I’ll round up and give it a four but it definitely could’ve been better but it wasn’t a bad choice. The central location and ac is really what justifies what we spent on the high nightly rate.
