“Nice stay with some improvements to be made”

Allocated a twin room instead of a king. Mattress topper provided to solve this was very uncomfortable. Lip/step between the main area and bathroom is a trip hazard. Location great. Staff helpful. Hotel cleanliness very good

We really enjoyed our stay. My mom stayed at this hotel in 1972. I had booked the hotel without knowing that. When we were checking in she remembered it from the sliding doors. I guess the reception was relocated since. When we told this to the receptionist Annika, she gave us a room with the beautiful view of Tivoli and the train station. We highly appreciated this lovely gesture. It was great pleasure staying in this hotel with so much history for Denmark and my parents who stayed here 52 years ago.

“Few tweaks to be perfect”

A really lovely hotel in a great location. It took about 15 minutes via a booked transfer to get there and the main station is just minutes away which we used whilst there and to get back to the airport, which was very easy to do. Reception staff friendly and helpful and the Concierge a credit to you. He gets to know you and when returning the next day remembered our conversation and had a joke about it, bearing in mind the number of guests coming and going each day. The room was spacious and clean with an excellent bathroom and large walk-in shower with complimentary toiletries, bathrobes and slippers. The bed was large and very comfortable. There was a lip of a step going into the bathroom which you trip up on, that should be addressed. We had a great view over Tivoli Gardens and it looked lovely when lit up at night. They could be a bit more generous with the complimentary teabags, we had to keep asking for more. One day we asked for 4 to have two when we got back at the end of the day and another 2 for first thing in the morning……we were given one! One day our room was cleaned late in the day as when we returned it hadn’t been done so made ourselves scarce whilst done which was disappointing as it had been a long day and we wanted to relax then refresh before going out again that evening. We choose not to have breakfast as we felt expensive at £29pp each day and some in our party only have a light breakfast so would not get value for money. There are many coffee shops very close by offering a variety of things so we went there each morning which served our needs very well. Due to the location and overall benefits of this hotel I would stay there again but it would be nice if a few tweaks were made.
