The hotel is situated in the centre of Copenhagen in the area south of the main Vesterbrogade, within walking distance of Tivoli gardens. (Please note that the hotel is located in what is called the red light district of Copenhagen, but in reality this consists of a small number of bars and sex shops and certainly does not represent a dangerous area in anywa). The building has a modern facade in light cream stone.

“Just delightful!”
My stay at Axel Guldsmeden was really lovely. I booked a spa package which included daily use of the spa and gym as well as the breakfast buffet. “Wonderful Copenhagen”
Hotel is really cool. Everything is sustainable and the vibe is pretty unique. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Would recommend staying here if visiting Copenhagen, which is itself a seriously cool city. First time visitors but we shall definitely return. Loved it.

“Very nice hotel”
We had a very nice stay with Axel Guldsmeden. Nice room, very good breakfast. The location is very good, close to the central railwaystation, good walking distance to the town center and very close to meatpacking district (restaurant area).

“Could have been better”
It was a disappointing stay. After 24 hours, a bad smell emanated from the bathroom and tarnished the entire room. It was worst in the shower, and I think it was related to the drain below the grate. I reported it in the morning on my way out to meetings. We agreed it would be addressed dur… more
