We stayed here for nine nights in June, and would have been happy to stay longer. We were arriving quite late at Prague airport for our first night, so asked the hotel to arrange a taxi for us. They gave us the fixed price (in both CZK and EUR) … confirmed the details … and we were pleased when we were greeted by the driver exactly as we’d been advised. And we had the right number of Euros ready to pay him. It was a good start. Our premium room (number 413) was not overly large, but it was perfectly adequate, and there was lots of storage space. We had requested a quiet room on an upper floor, with a walk-in shower (rather than a bath) … and that was exactly what we got. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was efficient and easy to use. The room was discreetly cleaned every day, usually while we were at breakfast. It overlooked what seemed to be the courtyard space of an adjacent building. The only – slight – noise we experienced occurred one evening when people in the courtyard were enjoying an al fresco meal, but it didn’t bother us at all, and the lively chatter died away very early. We slept well. A key feature of the hotel was its breakfast. There was a good range of both hot and cold options – I particularly liked making a starter bowl of fresh fruit, honey, yoghurt and seeds – and the freshly cut Prague ham was another favourite. We lingered long over breakfast each morning, noticing that some other couples did much the same. The restaurant staff – just like the staff on the reception desk – were friendly, helpful, quietly observant, and highly efficient. The location of the hotel on a quiet street was great. On our first morning, we asked just one question: should we turn right or left when leaving the hotel to get to the Old Town Square? (It was right … and then straight on). It was an easy 10-minute stroll. And so, over the next several days, we walked everywhere – to the Square, to the Charles Bridge, the Lesser Quarter, the Jewish Quarter, the Castle, Obecni Dum, Wenceslas Square, Petrin Hill … and many places in between. Coffee and/or beer stops helped fuel our days. We tended to favour evening restaurants near the hotel, and would recommend the local Tobruk restaurant, just a 100 metres or so from the hotel (turn left …) adjacent to the Grand Cru restaurant which is more easily visible from the hotel entrance. We didn’t need a taxi to return to the airport – it was an easy 20-minute walk to the main train station, from which point the airport express bus departs every 20 minutes (100CZK at the time of writing, with a travel time of about 40 minutes). All too soon, our time in Prague came to an end – but we left with fond memories of both the hotel and the city. Thanks to both.

Well what can I say about this hotel. Stayed here with family for 5 night to take in the Bruce Springsteen concert which unfortunately was postponed. Great experience from the time we arrived. Quick check in by the most friendly welcoming staff. Our rooms were lovely clean and tidy and beds very comfortable. Little touches like having a fridge in our room filled with complimentary juices and water which was replenished daily, which was much needed. Towels and bedding changed regularly if you wanted them done. Bar was lovely and relaxing after a busy day sightseeing in beautiful Prague. Breakfasts were exceptional and catered for all tastes and all ages. All in all a fabulous hotel in a beautiful city with fabulous hard working staff who couldn’t do enough to make our stay one to remember. Will definately recommend this hotel to family and friends and hopefully will stay again next year when Bruce reschedules his show
