Very quaint hotel. It has a real “soviet” style atmosphere. I really adore the old fashioned kettle and electric hot plates. It reminds me of growing up in the 1970s. It was like something out of a Milan Kundera novel. On the downside, although there are cups, plates etc in the room, there are no sachets of tea, coffee, or even bottled water in the room. My flight from the UK was late and I arrived after midnight. It would have been nice to have been able to make a cup of tea. This facility is standard in UK hotels of whatever star rating. It’s virtually free to provide and is such a courtesy. The hotel is situated slightly away from the centre of Prague in a quiet area. There are restaurants and shops nearby, and it’s right next to a police station! So you will be safe! Prague is a beautiful city and this hotel is in a beautiful street.

Very basic hotel, absolutely no frills, within walking distance of the new town, old town and all other main attractions, the room was spacious and there was a kitchenette hidden away inside a wardrobe, which we never used, we never went down for breakfast although this was within the price, beds were hard and bedding was very flimsy, one pillow each which had no life left in them, we will return to Prague but will stay elsewhere.
