It was a trip I had been looking forward to since the day I made the reservation. In a fascinating city like Prague, I can say that there is no better hotel to stay at than Hilton Oldtown Prague. I walked easily and not to pay many efforts to the city's most important historical and touristic areas, museums, Opera House, restaurants, entertainment venues. Believe me the hotel is designed for the comfort of its guests. Comfortable and spacious rooms, a great breakfast that appeals to every taste, executive lounge and most importantly the staff approach, in short, I had a perfect experience.

“5 stars from me”
This is certainly one of the better Hilton hotels worldwide. The staff are extremely helpful, the bar staff are wonderful and welcoming. The bedrooms are a good size. Breakfast is very very good. The speed of the omelette cooking is quite remarkable! All in all, 5 out of 5.

I am a Hilton Diamond Member, Marriot Platinum Member, frequent stayer of hotels part of them AMEX Hotel Collection. My review below will be comparing the Hilton Prague Old Town to similar rated hotels. This is my second time at Hilton Prague Old Town, and 20th time in Prague. I booked the room through AMEX, it is part of their Hotel Collection, some benefits included are $100 towards food and beverages, room upgrade when available, and late checkout. I also recieved benefits for being a Hilton Diamond member. Summary (overall rating 9/10): I originally booked a queen room for 5 days, me and my fiance decided we want to stay 6 days, the front desk was able to help us combine the two reservations via chat function on the Hilton App. When we arrived at the hotel the management updated our room to a King Junior Suite and moved our bags to the room. On the second day the hotel staff informed me that a emergency repair had to be made the water would be off in my room. They kindly upgraded me to the Governor Suite, which was one of the nicest rooms I stayed in. Overall the trip was more then statifactory, and I will be lookng forward to staying again. Staff 10/10: The staff was amazing through the duration of the trip. I had two seperate reservations, that they combine for me. The front desk agent welcomed me as a diamond member, told me what the hotel had to offer and how to get to these benefits, the management upgraded me to nicer room. The staff wore professional and fashionable outfits and spoke many langauges. Services 8/10: We utilized room service once for breakfast and housing keeping twice. No issues with housekeeping, they did the typical cleaning services. One thing that they did differnetly was replace are bathrobes, which was a pleasent surprise, most hotels only replace them if the are on the floor, this was nice because we like to wear in the room before we are ready or in bed. They also keep the bath stocked with different amenities such make up removers, q-tips, and shower caps. The room service was prompt, and came directly to the room with a nice little cart. We typically don't got room service, and did not know the warm food was hidden in the warming box below. We contacted the hotel staff and they told us how to get food, we wish this was explain when the food was delivered. Hotel Room 9/10: I spent majority of my stay in the Govenors suite, which consists of a bedroom, bathroom, entry room, and living/dining room. The room was very clean, it looked like it was freshly redone, and was absoulety beautiful. The bedroom was huge, and plenty of storage for clothes, a giant bed, and good size tv. The bathroom had a amazing standing shower, seprate bathtub, and plenty of lighting. The entry had great closet space, a double door entry, and storage for luggage. The living/dining room was massive. It had a comfy couch that can turn into a bed, a table for four, and a huge tv, some seats and other funiture. The decor was well thought out and really made the room fell like luxury. It was one of the nicer rooms I stayed in. The view was okay, but the amazing interior made up for it. The only recommendation I have is to update the windows in the living/dining room to a hand crank instead of a knob, the knob made it slighty hard to open the window, otherwise the room was nicer then most hotels part of the AMEX Collection. Executive Lounge 10/10: From experience Hilton always has the best lounges. I typically only visit the lounge during happy hour(typical two hours), which they offered free food, beer, wine, and spirits. The spirits is a nice touch as most hotels do not offer this. The food was very good and offered multiply options. There was plenty of seating and the seats were very comfy. There was a bathroom just outside the lounge, and this lounger had small computer work station to allow you to make copies or print papers. The staff was very helpful, prompt, and help with me with food selection due to my seadfood allergy. They even give us a 10 minute warning letting us know that happy hour was closing. I high recommend booking the Executive Rooms when staying here, the extra price for the room is totally worth the benefits of the lounge. Location 10/10: The location is right outside Prague 1 (the tourist spots). Within 10 minutes of walking you can reach the Clock tower, Powder Tower, Malls, main Shopping strip, bars, Charles Bridge, and everything else you want to see in Prague. It is right outside the main train station, subway, trams and right off the highway, Don't worry the hotel has great insulation and none of this could be heard from the bedroom when the windows are closed. Bar 9/10: The Bar was nice, the cocktails were good, and the beer was cold. The seats and lay was comfy and the atmosphere was amazing. They have plenty of TV's for sports. The prices for cocktails were fine and similar to other hotels and restaurants at the same level. The price of beer were little high for Prague, but typical when comparing it to other hotels and top end bars. Breakfast 10/10: One of the best of staying at Hilton is the American style breakfast. They your typical buffet with plenty of opitions, an omelette station, and sekt. The food and juices were very fresh, and the staff kept everything stocked. The most impressive part was the staff. They had a hostess that lead you to your seat, they were prompt to clean the table, had nice uniforms, and would help serve you anything extra you needed. This was one of the best breakfest experiences I had at all my stays. Considerations: - No valet (I believe this is due to the busy road, and valet would cause traffic) - Price of parking (750CZK/~35eur per day): This is similar to most hotels in Prague, not really a CON against the hotel, but something to consider if you plan on driving. Amenities not used: - Spa: We did look at the Spa, prices for massages were similar to other hotels, the pool was small but nice and heated, the sauna looked nice as well. It was missing a hottub, but the buildings are small in older in Prague so understandable. - Gym: The gym was not used by us due to injuries, however it has everything needed for a good work out, it has more then most hotel gyms, - Concierge: My fiance lived in Prague for 6 years and I been here about 20 times, we did not need the service, however looking at the phamplets and what they had to offer, I would recommend this service to anyone new to Prague. Recommendation (9/10): I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Prague. There our a bunch of hotels that claim "luxury" in Prague, but very few are. Hilton Prague Old Town is one of the nicest hotels in the city and is affordable, with the Hilton brand you are guaranteed a great experience.
