I had read some of the negative reviews and had considered canceling my booking but tried hotel rococo anyway. It was quite excellent and I don't understand the negative reviews. Some of the negative reviews from others: the reception is in another hotel 30 m down the street: yes but it means nothing and works quite well. cleaning was poor: It was nice and clean everywhere. the service was rude: I experienced only friendly and helpful staff. There was noise from the street from nightclubs: Yes, if you choose a totally centrally located hotel, you must also expect this. The hotel was quite excellent and I will book this hotel again the next time I am in Prague.

I used Booking.com and booked a room with an interior courtyard view. Instead I got a city view, in other words a room overlooking the very busy street. Including ongoing road construction across the street that began before 7am. I sleep with earplugs so the street noise was not a problem, but it might be for other guests. Also the room had a streetlamp was right outside and shone into the room because the curtains are not flat against the window. They're about 4 inches out. This also lets in the flashing lights from the cinema down the street on the other side of the road that has a flashing marquee across the roof. It was very bright, despite my efforts to use chairs to pin the curtains closer against the window. The room itself was fine, very spacious, comfortable bed, enormous pillows, full bathroom with tub, fridge, kettle, tea, coffee, sugars, etc. The room was very clean. There is supposed to be 24 hour reception but there was only someone there part of the time - who spoke English so that was great! I believe the hotel clerk does double duty with the sister hotel around the corner and jumps back and forth between the two lobbies. Hire more staff! Good location. About a 10 minute walk to the train station. 10 minute walk to Old Town. I walked over to the palace on the other side of the river, so if you're a mobile person, Prague is a very walkable city. There are tons of restaurants and shops and ice cream places within minutes of walking out the door. The area surrounding the hotel is very lively with a lot of younger people on the sidewalks and in the many nearby cafes. This hotel definitely caters to the under 30 crowd in keeping with the neighbourhood theme, so I was too old! It's not a good place to stay for families or people over age 40, or anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful, restful sleep. This hotel is a party palace for the younger crowd. All night long hollering in the hallways. With my earplugs, not a problem. The problem is it's an old building with older infrastructure, and if walls or floors are put under duress, there is vibration throughout all the hotel rooms, including the bed because it's on the floor against the wall. In addition to hollering, the party goers are running up and down the hallways, slamming doors, and body slamming each other into the walls. All of this causes major vibrations - it's like being in earthquakes. The partiers kept me up well past midnight and woke me up shortly after 5am. I pulled my earplugs out to see if there was an emergency evacuation happening, but it was only a beer emergency. So I didn't get a lot of sleep and was exhausted. I checked out in the morning. Or I would have if there'd been someone covering reception. The hotel keeps their policies on a paper on the table in the room and one of them is quiet hours between 10pm and 7am. And there will be a fine for violating this - I think up to 200 Euros. But like most hotels, this one does not enforce its own policies. This hotel is definitely a party palace. If you're a loud, obnoxious jerk who loves drinking and making a lot of noise without fear of hotel staff intervention - the EA Hotel Rokoko is your dream come true! For everyone else who's looking for a peaceful night's sleep - look at another hotel.

This hotel is great for budget and location. Entrance to Mustek station is a few steps from the entrance. Get to the airport in 30mins via bus and tube which is super easy and cheap. Everything in Prague is within walking distance old town square within 10mins. We walked over Charles bridge and the castle from the hotel obviously if your fitness or legs weren’t so good the trams are also right on the doorstep. Could not fault location. Yes, you check in a few doors down but it literally is a few doors down no issue really. The room was clean and spacious. Our tv didn’t function properly but we only tried to put it in for news when getting ready one morning and didn’t really bother us. Like most hotels since covid they do not do a daily clean/ sheet change but this can be done on request I believe. Now the negative… the noise. We were at the rear so we had no street noise but the doors are very poor blocking no noise from the hallway. Guests coming home not even being noisy can be heard clearly. My main issue was the cleaners. They were in the hallway talking loudly amongst each other, music on and hoovering at 8am waking us up as they clean the next room. When challenged they pointed at the policy stating quiet between 10-7am. If checkout is 11am and check in not until 3pm why are they making this noise. My advice is if your a light sleeper avoid as there is constant noise from the hallway even people being quiet can’t help but be heard. Overall, good stay, great location but disrespectful cleaners with poor sound proofing in rooms.
