What a beautiful place to stay. Steps away from the Charles bridge and in the centre of the historic area, the location was perfect. The staff at reception (across the street) were very helpful and met us where the taxi dropped off. We had a suite of rooms consisting of lounge, bedroom (with two doubles) and an incredible bathroom with double shower and chandelier. The rooms were spotlessly clean and came with all of the extras you would expect from a boutique hotel - robes, slippers, toiletries, nespresso maker & pods, and a mini bar. Other reviews have mentioned noise from the street cleaners in the morning but we didn’t see it as too much of a problem - yes we heard it but only for a few minutes and worth the overall cleanliness of the city. Plenty of restaurants and cafe bars within walking distance. 15 min walk to the Cafe Slavia for a luxury breakfast experience or a few minutes away from Starbucks so we were happy with a room only basis. Loads of evening meal choices too. 20 minute walk (or climb) to the castle area and about 10 minutes to the old town square. As an old building, there is no elevator so would not suit those with mobility issues - although with the amount walking required in Prague I doubt this would be an issue for most visitors. Couldn’t fault this hotel and would definitely want to stay again. Thank you to the staff for your hard work.

We stayed here for 3 nights for my birthday trip and had a fantastic experience, We choose room 5 on the 3rd floor with exposed wooden beams. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was of a good size as well. The room and bathroom was lovely and clean. The hotel is perfectly located at the foot of Charles Bridge in the Lesser district which was our favourite. The staff that showed us to the room operated from the tourist information opposite couldn’t be more helpful. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. The breakfast organised through the hotel at the Miners cafe round the corner was perfect and delicious.

Staying at the Domus Bathazar made our stay in Prague even more enjoyable than we expected it would be. This is a lovely little boutique hotel (dating back to the 16th century) with just 8 rooms. There is no lift in this hotel but unless you have mobility issues this shouldn't be a problem at all. We were in a beautiful deluxe double room with a view of the Charles Bridge. The room had 5 huge windows which I loved, a bed that was bigger than a double, a reasonably priced mini bar, and robes in the bathroom. All staff we spoke with are a credit to this hotel, so friendly and helpful. Pavel gave us a map when we arrived and helped us with all our queries about Prague. On our last day we had to check out at 11am but our flight wasn't until 9pm. Unfortunately on this day the rain was relentless, but staff were happy to mind our luggage for the day and lend us a big umbrella to take out with us. Not only that, they let us have a room for a couple of hours when we came back so we could change into dry clothes etc. before our flight. It is these kind little touches that make such a difference. Also have to mention Milan, the driver who picked us up from the airport and took us back, which the hotel immediately arranged for us on request for 24 euros each way. Milan is also a credit to the hotel and was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Thanks to all at Domus Balthazar, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again should I visit Prague a second time!.

“Nice, but not a hotel - these are apartments for rent”
It’s advertised as a 4* hotel, which it’s not. A definition of a hotel is one that has a reception desk and services to support your stay. While a great location, and the rooms are very nice - be aware you are booking an AirBnb style apartment with next to no service apart from a few people behind the tourist information desk the other side of the street who seem to manage the property. Very poor check in experience, wasn’t told how anything worked, no idea if there even was breakfast or where it was - so we didn’t bother. That said, the location is fantastic and the rooms were very nice and clean - but HOT, no aircon which in August with 30++ degree heat means limited sleep.
