Had a wonderful stay in Mlini. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and really well serviced. The host Pavo as everyone has said in the comments, is so helpful, friendly and welcoming and gave us great tips for where to eat, how to travel, boat trips to take etc. The views are incredible and it was lovely just sitting out on the balcony watching the sun set over the Adriatic every evening and the lights coming on. The air conditioning in the apartment made the heatwave bearable. It was exceptionally hot when we were there but the beaches just below the apartment (down quite a lot of steps), were lovely and we spent a lot of time cooling off in the crystal clear water. Great restaurants and bars all along that stretch of coast and Dubrovnik is easily accessible by boat, bus or Uber. Great location. Would love to go back. Thanks so much Pavo.

We are at the airport waiting to return home after two weeks at these lovely apartments. From beginning to end Pavo has been the perfect host and , willing to help at any time , very knowledgeable of where to visit and the best routes . ( we visited Montenegro and Bosnia Herzegovina ) We had a Sea View which was amazing , the location is high up in the mountain and you can access Mlini down several steps , but if required you can get a Uber back up at just 7 euros . Pavo’s mum and dad who reside here were very friendly . We hired a car , but for any guests that didn’t have transport , Pavo would nip them to the supermarket for initial supplies . And on their departure assist with bags and drop off at bus stop for the airport transfer . We have visited many self catering apartments in the past and this is one of the best , for three stars , we were able to cook ourselves a meal The room was cleaned every day , towels washed and beds made . We would definitely recommend and would love to revisit as a lovely base for Dubrovnik .

Had a fantastic 10 nights at Tonkovic apartments. The sea view was incredible Just breathtaking. Our host Pavo was exceptional. Could not do enough for us. Apartment spotless. Pavo goes above and beyond. Would highly recommend. Cannot wait to return.

Great family run apartments in Mlini, thank you for a gorgeous week. Pavo is a great host, who met us off the transfer bus on the main road to help with our luggage and then took us to the supermarket for supplies, which was greatly appreciated as it is some distance away. The apartments are spotless and are very well equipped for self catering, everything is thought of which is a rarity in self catering places! We stayed in the studio which is at the back of the property and has a private balcony which isn’t overlooked. It was a shame we didn’t have a sea view (fully booked) but we made use of the terrace instead on a nighttime which is in front of the apartments. Buses are every half hour from the main road in both directions (€2.90 single to Dubrovnik, €3.20 to Cavtat), the nearest shop/mini mart and bakery is around a 20 minute walk there, as is Mlini harbour and the closest beach. Ubers are very reasonable and worth the bit extra than the bus for the convenience. It’s worth going into Cavtat in an evening, there’s more going on and more bars and restaurants than Mlini. As other reviews have said, the walk back up the hill and stairs is hard going and absolutely brutal in the summer heat, especially if coming from the beach/Mlini harbour which has a number of steps to the main road. However the views from the apartments are beautiful and worth it. The whole area is so beautiful but all the beaches are down from the main road and distances from bus stops - some taxis won’t pick you up from them either and you have to venture up to the main road instead. It is most certainly not somewhere to stay if you have any mobility issues or aren’t keen on at least a daily trek. This has no bearing on my rating though as we had such an amazing holiday staying here and loved our first visit to Croatia, such a stunning place!
